Guards refill/re-equip their towers during the day. You switched the gate tower to rifles then immediately removed the guards from duty only to reassign at night. So they only had the pistols and ammo you had leftover from the night before. Side note: love the series. So many people try to use a castle or fort and never build it out like one. I love how your using the walls and putting towers at the points and with overlapping fields of fire. So few actually do that. Awesome work!

​@@KnightOps-KOThinking aloud... moving the HQ to a bigger building might give you more max squads. Or getting a second HQ. A FOB at the southern end of the bridge or up near the northern edge could be neat. You'd need to stagger it slowly over via micro warehouses & shelters. But itd work.

Even though I bet this map comes with some resource complications, god that fort is so aesthetically pleasing as a survival base. I actually like how over time you’re having to replace walls as the zombie break in, makes the place look more pagchworked together by survivors trying to make it in a apocalypse.

What I love about yours is the location you picked. I watch another channel that covers this and they picked a town the know. It's interesting, but I really like that you made a go of this in an actual military fort. I don't think you could have picked a better fort,. It would be better if the infected could only cross when the water is frozen. But that's on the devs. I think it's ridiculous the zombies can swim. And you are entertaining to watch. You keep a fast pace but not to fast. The other guy I watch will drone on and on about the same thing for 15 minutes. Keep up the good work

Im confident this channel will work. Great narrating and good voice for it. Really liking this location and how you building it out. Would really love for you to check out that bit of land in the water where there may be a car. Perhaps your other plan of getting the wrecked car if its possible. Was wondering if the longer you wait, the larger the hordes, and so harder to retrieve it. Surely it will be hard to deffend a small single shelter for 2 workers outside the base? Anyway happy playing and hope you get more vehicles.

ya kiting can be effective with cars, but can get a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with 3+. That is what i had to resort to with a few of my builds because the hordes didn't give any time to recover/repair. The problem I ran into then was insufficient food production after 2+ non-stop nights. Fort Eustis was going pretty well to the north, until that happened.

Yea from what I'm told if I build a med bay it will unlock another military event

@@KnightOps-KO Oh, and one other thing, just a tip that I use. I would find where they attack the most and build barbed wire around that area in sight of the watch tower. It slows them down and the guards can pick them off before they break through.

nice job holding down the fort so far! :) now that you have so many people you can make the other three squads without it effecting too much so you get all that extra fire power, although you may not need it considering how good of a job your towers are doing (: or you could just form the squads when a swarm is coming, no need to leave all those slackers sleeping 😉

Do you know that you can send out some citizens to repair the car suck out in the ocean? Neither the infected nor raiders will bother them. Once the car is sufficiently repaired you can send your squad out to retrieve it. Send the squad with all AKs if there are infected there. Also, the Army isn’t done with you yet. I won’t spoil it for you, but they will be back.

Yea someone told me to build a med bay to get more missions out of them. Its just I prerecorded these to the 5th episode so I could get school work done so gotta do it when I continue the game tomorrow 😅

I had the same issue on this map but when I sent workers to repair the cars, they were so far away by the time they got there the foreman would call them back and nothing would get done. They would just spend all day walking to the car and right when they get there they would turn around and go back to the base. I even tried to put metal in a squads inventory and take it to the cars but no luck. They should add the ability for squads to repair cars at least to the point where you can drive them back to base to finish the repairs. Right now Im down a car FULL of stuff I need and not sure when/if I'll ever get it back.

Have you thought about making your top 2 warehouses headquarters instead? That way u get more squads you can have, 9000 hit point buildings and u can make more squads at a moments notice at either corner and they have storage too.

I started my game on this map. I built a small maze at the back entrance and walled off the front and the side entrances. It works well, only the dogs have attacked the walls. Did you have the issue where you can only find 2 cars? Also you can drive your car into the water expeditions up north and actually get stuff.

Try sending a squad out to the car, use the 4 man squad to push it in, or in range for repair. I have had them run out of gas , but not damaged before. And for a interesting idea, on the far left island, make a second HQ to work out of. Note i do not know it you lose any HQs will end the game, so ther is a risk. If you did not know you migh get the use of more max Squad s, but you have not made that menny anyway. If this orks you might need to higher squads then release them so thay work on the island, keep an eye out for worker from the main land. This might be to much... likeed all the videos so far..can not wate to see what you do late game...

I remember you've tried repairing the car. But did you try it the second it turned morning to see if they could actually make it to the car and fix it? And I wonder if the game does longer days in the summer so you would have more time to fix it. Also, I like that you take your time playing. A lot of other youtubers I've seen playing this game just go super-fast then get bored after a couple vids and do a new location. So all of us who watch never get enough time to see anything really built up.

@@KnightOps-KO I think you almost have to. With these hordes getting more and more over the top. Your gonna need multiple vehicles. I would also assume if you intended to go to other zones again your gonna need multiple vehicles doing it together to make it out.

Jealous of you having walls when the massive swarms come. I had none, and had to slowly enclose my area, using full moons to have two free days to build HQs in strategic areas; and the swarms would always come from the direction that was least enclosed (if you click on the SWARM message, it will show you which expedition tile they spawned in). Got so much easier once it was fully enclosed and I started mass producing enough snipers to hand them out to gates and towers like candy, though.
