It should be disclaimed at the beginning of this video that this is AI…and not an authentic recording of Alan Watts. I immediately switched off as soon as social media was mentioned, knowing Alan died years before such technology existed. Although the words spoken are no doubt meaningful and beautiful, they seem somewhat negated because they are “un-disclaimed” AI generated. A sense of trickery and inauthenticity emerges…if anything this video gives me (and I imagine other listeners) an icky, dreaded fear of the false, digital future we are entering, rather than appreciating the intended sentiment behind the narrative, which we would have more likely felt if it was read out by a REAL human from the actual era that this speech touches on
