Let There Be (Smart) Light! GLEDOPTO Triac AC Dimmer Review

In 2021, GLEDOPTO released their latest product - a smart triac AC dimmer, which is Zigbee based and can introduce smart (on/off and dimming) functionality to standard 'dumb' bulbs - such as dimmable LEDs, halogen and incandescent lights.
This is wired into the lighting circuit and sits inside the light switch, and it worked really well from my testing.

Does it update the status of the bulb if you turn it off with the button connected to the dimmer?

Video perfecto, iba a comprarlo pero tenía algunas dudas las cuales ahora ya no tengo después de ver el vídeo. Entiendo que si funciona con el mando sin cables Philips Hue también debería de funcionar con el sensor de movimiento Hue. Gracias por el vídeo.

Hi, on the back of this KZbin clip which was great I have to say I ordered one of these devices. I've tried it but it doesn't seem to dim the lights. It's installed into the loft on the bathroom lighting circuit. I think this might be to do with the switch live and the pull cord switch. I'm using a motion sensor to activate the lighting on entering the room. Just looking at your demo setup which is basically what I'm wanting to achieve I see you don't have a switch live cable added. Any tips on the wiring setup you have as a demo?

Managed to sort it by super inspecting your video and took out the switch live and neutral! Worked a treat! Great little device

Hola amigo. Ya he comprado 6 unidades pero tengo un problema, a ver si tu me puedes ayudar. Tod funciona bien excepto la función de brillo mínimo para que las bombillas no parpadeen. Pulso el botón de reset hasta el momento en que quiero que las bombillas se queden a asa potencia, pero el Gledopto no lo memoriza. A ti te pasa lo mismo? Muchas gracias. Hi friend. Hello! Glad to hear that you bought 6 units and they work well overall. Regarding the reset button, I can't remember completely sorry (I have disassembled this demo unit so I can't easily check now). From memory I did a lot of my testing with constant power going to the device, so I didn't do lots of testing with cutting the power completely and then seeing if the reset value was remembered. (¡Hola! Me alegra saber que compró 6 unidades y que funcionan bien en general. Con respecto al botón de reinicio, no puedo recordar que lo siento por completo (he desmontado esta unidad de demostración, por lo que ahora no puedo comprobarlo fácilmente). Desde la memoria hice muchas de mis pruebas con energía constante yendo al dispositivo, por lo que no hice muchas pruebas para cortar la energía por completo y luego ver si se recordaba el valor de reinicio.)

That doesn't look like a smart bulb tbh. I might be wrong, but I don't think you'll get any smart control out of that no.

Hi Chris, good question - unfortunately I'm not too sure. It would be 'multiple', in the sense that the output voltage is fairly high (so many LED lights would be fine). But I don't have an exact number for the maximum sorry.

WHY DO PEOPLE CARE ABOUT SIZE??? YOU DONT NEED T PUT IT INSIDE PLASTIC BOX, YOU CAN TAKE OUT PLASTIC BOX FROM DRYWALL AND PUT CONTROLLER IN THE WALL. AND ONLY PUT WIRES IN BOX.
