6:06 I was happy to see that this wasn’t another anime where, even though the party has been together forever, they suddenly decide to get rid of the MC by being dicks to him, only for him to suddenly become OP afterwards, or even worse - they’ve been OP and carrying the team on their back, but they don’t see it for some strange reason. There’s so many, and I can’t always get past this aspect of the concept

I actually think his power is incredibly high luck. He’s like a Kazuma in Konosuba but without Aqua to nerf the luck. Everything he does no matter how foolish always seems to end up good or for the better so people end up thinking he knows the future when he was just lucky whatever he did ended correct or true.

@donannan9295 Considering some of the things in later episodes, it might be a combination of both. As considering some of his friends' personalities, I think somewhere deep down that they realize he's probably going to be the best person to think of something and so don't want him to leave. Sorta that if it's luck, then his friends subconsciously realize it so don't want to have their friend leave and just want to hang out and have fun.

And somehow because of the reputation his friends spread of him being always right, that reputations went out of hand now he’s treated like a God who knows everything 😂. It’s actually a very funny concept tbh.

One thing that really disappoints me about this is the showing of all the team members before they're introduced. In the novel, they're basically mysteries until they're first introduced one by one each arc. Liz best girl, btw.

Dude watch it I caught up with LN and I'll tell you this this man is King from One Punch Man on steroids. Like in Vol 5 he did something so insane the only answer is the universe is bending itself to his will. Because I don't think even King, Hercule Buggy or Masuyuki from Reincarnated as a Alime could fail upwards like that. When I read it i couldn't stop laughing.

This series is if King from One Punch Man was the protagonist of Eminence in Shadow. And I love it. Volume 3 and 5 are currently my favorites. I'm yet to read Volume 6.

Volume 5 did something that dethroned King as the failing upwards champion. little spoiler(believe me this isn't even paint how crazy that part of the story gets) I kid you not Krai lead a revolution of monsters by speaking complete gibberish becoming their King. He lucked his way into speaking their language saying the right words in they right way and asserted dominance by accident. Like when the LN eventually translated what he was saying them I couldn't hold it in.

If he is struggling so much that he can only afford to post the things that will only earn him the highest possible number while locking everything else behind patreon to lure people there to watch an inferior version of the reaction, then perhaps he should have picked a more stable source of income for his main job. 初コメント失礼します。 原作既読勢です。 アニメ視聴ありがとうございます。 この作品は先になればなるほど面白いので序盤は正直あまり面白くないかもしれません…。 爆発力には欠けると思います。 特にアニメだと主人公のモノローグが大幅にカットされている関係で主人公の言動や行動が意味不明に感じる部分があるかと思います。 アニメ1〜4話が原作小説一巻にあたるのですが、正直一巻が一番面白くないと言っても過言ではないので二巻にあたる5話以降なんなら三巻にあたる9話(仮)以降からがどんどん面白くなる作品ですのでもし特別面白くないと思っているわけではないのであればぜひ視聴継続して欲しいです。 面白くないと思っているのであれば無理に視聴しなくてもいいかと思いますが……！ 「陰の実力者になりたくて」や「オーバーロード」のような所謂勘違いすれ違いコメディではあるのですが、2作品と違って「嘆きの亡霊は引退したい」の主人公は本当に弱いし無能です。ですので主人公最強で戦闘シーンを楽しむタイプの作品ではないことには注意です。 ただ主人公は本当に弱いし無能ですが、物語としては結果的に全て丸くおさまる上に誰も不幸にならない(敵を除く)し、なにより主人公の本質を理解しないまま起こす無意味とも思える行動や突拍子もない言動がしっかり伏線になっていて後から振り返ってみるとまるで未来が見えていたのか！？と周りを驚かせる構図になっている所が見どころだと思います。 序盤の主人公はまだまともではありますがどんどん回を追う毎に「いや主人公も他の幼馴染に負けないくらい大概狂っているな？」ってなります。そこまでアニメでは行かないと思いますが。 主人公が狂人だと気付いてからが面白い作品なのでその魅力が伝わるところまでアニメで行かなさそうなのは残念ですが、3巻(おそらくアニメ後半)の内容を見ればこの作品の楽しみ方がわかるかと思います！ 楽しんでもらえると原作ファンとしては嬉しいです。 長文失礼しました。
