I love the story, that they ended up together, but in reality it is showing the dark past of history, thats why most of the parent want them to get married at a young age to avoid sending them to japan, cause they know what will happen, many victims of comfort women, not only in korea, but also in other asian countries like philippines where i came from.

This drama special was everything, got a little education from time frame, learned about various forms of love & romance from western perspective, mixed in with a little bit of humor added. Son Hojun & Jo Boah character were total opposites starting out, but near end found their way to each other under most unique of circumstances. Very amazing love story!

Phenomenal film!! Thank you so much KBS for bringing this into my life. It may have been fictional for the most part, but still expresses just some of the horrors that the Japanese empire tried to impose on others back then. So sad, but at least this film had a very happy ending!! And kudos to Jo Bo-Ah, one of the prettiest and most talented actresses in Korean media, as well as actor Son Ho-Jun. Together they really made this a fantastic film to watch. Thank you again and I'm so happy for the English subtitles! I'm learning Korean on my own, but I have a LONG way to go yet before I can watch K-dramas without them!! :D

OMG this special just taught me about "comfort women". I am disgusted and in awe as to how far the Japanese government and men in general will go to abuse women. I am glad this special found a way to bring that to light with humor and romance.

I watched this drama because of Jo Bo Ah for the second time that I see her. First, I saw her in drama, "Monster" in 2016. Her character was evil person to become a good person because she fall in love with Main character. I started to really like Jo Bo Ah because of her acting career in "Monster". Now, this drama special, I really like her more and more. So, I suggest to watch the drama, "Monster" because it is really good about revenge on main character's uncle and dark side. And the scene about Jo Bo Ah and Main character's skit comedy scene.

I find it interesting that people are commenting on various actors but ignore the history of how the Japanese lied to Korean families and young women and forced them to become "Comfort Women," or prostitutes to the Japanese military. Historically, they told them it was for the purposes of better jobs and educational opportunities. They did the same all over Asia and has never taken responsibility for their actions, in fact, they have denied it. Several years ago, Japan tried to quietly give money to Korea for the families of the "Comfort Women," and still never acknowledged the devastation they caused to thousands of young women. It is sickening!!

I haven’t heard if the Japanese apologized about it but in truth an apology won’t make the women’s pain go away. It would however give the women a chance to find peace knowing that the country can admit their guilt in the human trafficking which may let many of the women still alive to move on.
