Fun fact, the first mimic door was too orange, and the second one had too wide of a light. Both were legitimate placements. You can even rarely get a fucked up room where two rooms generate on top of each-other and overlap, so you get two legitimate fire exits in one storage room!

The worst part of the Bracken isn't that it snaps your neck, it's the fact that it stalks you. You could be completely unaware unless you have a monitor at the ship or someone who is dead is watching you.

There's 2 ways i know you can tell its a mimic, but 1 of them might have been removed 1, hit the door with a weapon, if it growls its a mimic if not its real, dont hit it 3 times because it will eat the closest player 2, this is why i might be removed, it says "feed [E]" instead of "open [E]"

There are more, the feed thing is one of several random differences between real fire escapes. Sometimes the door will be orange, or have the wrong text, have a wider light, take longer to open, have a different hand interact icon, and probably more.

Giwi called both mimics despite being completely wrong about why they were mimics lol Mimic tells are very, very subtle. The door thickness *may be* slightly different (not confirmed), the lighting is slightly different. But the most obvious way to find it out is if you hit it with a shovel or sign, it growls. And yes, fire exits can spawn in both of those areas, I find them there rather frequently actually.
