Just to answer the Sea of Thieves question, in early December they added "Safer Seas", servers where you don't have to deal with the PvP aspect of the game. You can just sail to islands, gathering treasure, fighting mobs and doing whatever. The big tradeoff is that you only get like 40% of the gold and reputation gain you would get normally, because they expect people to eventually transition to the normal servers. Personally, as someone who got griefed by 12-year-olds who shouted the N-word over voice chat every single time I played the game in the past, I think I'll stick with Safer Seas.

Yessss! I am kinda bumbed some quests are locked out... But I'll take that/lesser rewards over party poopers. Maybe eventually they'll open up more quests for safer seas.

@@shahs1221Well, the devs already said that since Safer Seas is supposed to be "beginner mode", they have no intention of changing things like the 40% Gold cap. Their response was basically "If you want more stuff you'll have to play on the servers with the griefers and trolls."
