Glad to see you girls are the embodiment of the true form of martial arts, both kicking ass and being a decent person. Big up from China
@mr12aT5 жыл бұрын
lol. Everyone talks about how martial arts teaches discipline and makes you humble and wise. Though so many UFC fighters completely contradict that. I think it's all just a bunch of bs.
@someotherguy435 жыл бұрын
Mint Mastering its not bullshit its called marketing yourself to make as much money as possible. At the end of the day your a prize fighter who needs to sell tickets and put butts in seats, theres nothing in between. Any person who gets involved in mma or boxing does it for a living, noone gets punched in the face and possibly get cte just for fun. Stop being naive.
@mr12aT5 жыл бұрын
Joseph Diaz. So what you’re saying is these martial artists will go completely against all of the morals and ethics they are (supposedly) taught during their martial art training from there wise teacher to teach them how to be wiser to sell tickets? It really does sound like a bunch of BS, that this whole martial art “respect” or being a “decent” person thing is a complete lie.
@someotherguy435 жыл бұрын
Mint Mastering were far away from any traditional martial arts they are clearly training mma, and as for what their masters are teaching them has nothing to do with marketing yourself when going into a promotion like ufc, you as a person choose if you wanna be the respectful type or not, but it comes with consequences especially wen you dnt stand out of the crowd. Its all on the fighters im just saying its obvious who makes the money and its the guys who talk shit cuz u fortunately thats what sells nowadays.
@mr12aT5 жыл бұрын
@@someotherguy43. Ah see, now you are in the wrong comment section. If you look at Lin Duff's comment it say's "embodiment of the true form of martial arts". Though in saying that would you mind telling me what the last two letters in MMA stand for, we both know it's martial arts. It's not different. Making money over the teachings that are handed down from learning martial arts. Its either martial arts is lying to it's self about its "wise" teachings or mma dudes are simply just a bit douchie.

People that have never fought or sparred should try this just to get a little understanding of how painful and difficult a sport like this is: Put on a padded helmet and have someone with those really big padded boxing gloves tap you very, very lightly in the forehead with a jab. That explosion of pain you feel at even minimal contact is what I'm talking about. And these people are striking almost as hard as they possibly can. Or you can have someone very slowly and lightly tap you on the side of the leg with a shin kick to the thigh. Hurts bad, doesn't it? And those people are whaling away at each other's legs lol. It's just crazy how much abuse a body can take when trained enough. But I still feel like the brain damage isn't worth it because it never fully heals.
@miesvaillanykyisyytta32525 жыл бұрын
I have taken a bit of muay thai and I realize my opinion is unpopular but I think it's one of the least intelligent martial arts out there. Taking part in a match may be worth it for thai peasants who live in squalor and are poor but in developed nations there's so many more options for people and our level of education allows us to see beyond the need to "fight". Being kicked in the thighs hurts and kicking a bag with your shin hurts and that's your body's way of telling you that you are doing it wrong. Karate, american kickboxing and taekwondo as well as military combatives emphasize hitting with the foot which is painless with your shoe on. When you kick with your shin, the force is transmitted through your shin at a splitting angle and you might hurt yourself much worse than your opponent not to mention you lose the reach advantage of a foot strike. If you break your toe or a bone in your foot from a foot strike, you can still defend yourself but if you break your shin you're done. Young people can do this sport for a good while but in your 30's, 40's and 50's switching to american kickboxing, karate or taekwondo may be necessary.
