Ever fly a drone? Ever fly one in the woods? If these NK troops weren't walking like ducks in a row while moving around in the day in an open field covered in snow or at least sticking to the woodline, some would probably still be alive. Which seems to be a temporary condition for them. I'm not saying that tripwires and mines don't layer that woods. I'm saying that moving slowly and deliberately through restrictive terrain is more survivable for infantry than what they're doing.

Drones can indeed be destroyed by a soldier, but it has to be a very experienced one. I saw a video of a Ukrainian drone operator squad carrying out attack missions against infantry, and they happened to encounter a soldier walking alone. It took them about four drones to kill him because the Russian soldier was destroying them with his rifle. They called him a "sniper."

Ever fly an FPV drone integrated with a Mixed Reality headset with AI components for routing, allowing for the drones flought in the woods to efficiently get to their kill zone altitude while detecting terrain and objects and assisting you, pilot, in detection/response movement? & a Zala Lasset drone flies up to 50mpH, whatever pathing they take on ground and regardless of the amount of tall objects around, the drone will detect, fly up to, and bomb-drop a squad like that before they can do much reacting. Whilst these NK "troops" are... Quite darn clueless and useless, I did want to point out that a fully-trained, special ops squad in those exact situations would've most likely ended up in that exact same way. If not by this one, by the next, or the next wave. Warfare's always been disgusting, but it's taking a drastic turn here. Don't underestimate FPV drones... As a pilot who works commercial, they're just not the same tool, at all.

I will confidently suggest that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are the best Army in the World today; I'm also confident that from the perspective of the drone ( the bird's eye view ) a 'Diversion Tactic' springs to mind:... so whilst the NKs are all spread out across the field; A much smaller, more skilled contingent are busy sneaking through the tree lines towards enemy lines. This war has demonstrated that UAVs / Surveillance & Communication are key for counter attack, achieving high value intelligence, that results in smooth, effective coordination for the Ukrainian Force, whilst minimising the need for manpower ground level. So long as the Ukraine's air superiority is maintained - five times that amount of units would be required to overcome this massive tactical advantage on the battlefield. Russia still doesn't appear to have grasped that concept yet. putin's "special military operation' is nothing short of a disaster. Surely someone somewhere in the Kremlin must be getting tempted. That strategy seems to be their area of expertise after all.
