I don't have words to express that Riggs is a great actor. You truly get sucked in because of him. I can't watch it anymore since he left. He was the only reason my husband and I watched it. It will NEVER be the same. Congrats to him for doing a great job.

This show was so good in the first couple seasons, and wow, Clayne Crawford is an incredible actor. He really just brought so much into the show and did an amazing job without trying too hard to play the role exactly like Mel Gibson did.

He could have been saved in season 2 but they killed his character instead. No way for him to come back. It was sort of a "F U" to the actor because of Damon Primadonna Wayan. He was a black man and the studio couldn't fire him over a white guy.

Great collection of clips! When I first got told there was a tv series of Lethal Weapon I thought, "Oh no, what have they done!" but then I started watching it and was totally hooked. Personally I think Clayne Crawford is such a talented actor, he really brought some heart to the role, but without trying to copy Mel Gibson. Claims that the show is boring or stupid make me chuckle to be honest. Each to their own I guess, but how you could class a show with punchy buddy-cop dialogue, lots of action and a big heart as 'boring' is probably more a reflection on that person's life as only boring people get bored. I'm glad Clayne only lasted for 2 seasons though, as it will always be a classic twist on the movies in my opinion and never had a chance to go stale like so many good shows do.
@THE-WAY_THE-TRUTH_THE-LIFE.4 жыл бұрын
I do not think that the show would have gone stale for a while if Clayne had not been fired. I do think that season 2 was a little boring compared to the first one, but I also think that they could have made it work for a few more seasons if they were given the chance. I find that lots of people who say/state that the show is boring or stupid have not even seen it, or they have only watched one episode. They just tend to say/state that because they have only seen the movies with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, and they assume that a T.V. show based on said movies would just be preposterous.

crawfords indeed a charismatic actor but this rog just dont do it for me and the series is trash with the exception of the doc/riggs scenes. besides that, this programs an insult to the lw we ve enjoyed. and no matter how good claynes acting was, he doesnt do riggs character justice. with another name and the characters named different this thing could ve been something but totally failed as a lethal weapon. they ve missed those bursting riggs/rog discussions, the classic s.o.b. murtaugh lines, the 3 stooges riggs demeanor, and many, many more things. sometimes, its better not messing up with some classics, imagine a series of Leon, the proffesional, can u cast another jean reno or a gary oldman to do a tv show of such a masterpiece? better not to fuck up classics,though. and yes, this trish actress really hot, sorry but i had to be honest, as leo getz (joe pesci) said: full disclosure. sorry but this is kindergartens water weapon.

Gotta say, that even if if things were not good with the actors and the way that the production was done, there is no denying the great way they played off of each other. Their craft and sense of timing was so good and they made this show better than the movies. Everyone has their way of doing things, and some don't back down from their thoughts and feelings on the quality of the production. But! That's not the way to make the best shows by allowing the outsiders that are not acting, to tell the actors they have no say so, or that they don't know what they are talking about. The actors are the ones that are acting, not a directors schedule. Just some how , bring these guys back and treat them as equals.
