Very helpful information Matt. I have the Pittsburgh 3-ton low profile jack, the ZL1 Addon "permanent" lift pads installed on all 4 lift points, and 4 ton jack stands. I got the ZL1Addon items courtesy of watching your vids and they are great but I always had problem of how to get jack stand inserted when the jack was using the pinch weld lift point (front was issue). Seeing your tip on the inside subframe is a game changer. And likewise your old vid on using the center diff lift point allowed me to put stands under lifts points ahead of rear wheels. Now I can get 4 points supported with jack stands. (Before I got the permanent ZL1Addon pads I used the mag pads and the hockey puck inserted between mag pad and jack's lift arm cup--and for a simple wheel/tire changeout they were great combo).

Having owned a c7 corvette before my camaro, I can't say I am a fan of the design. The corvette had 4 clear jacking points with pucks to lift from. If you jacked it up from the centre lifting point, the whole one side of the car would lift with no stress about bending any pinch welds or worse

Very informative video! I have the flat version of those pads and they are super nice. I was changing out my oil today and noticed the pad starting to bend towards the door. I think this is due to not having the lift point on the jack centered with the pad, however, if I center it then my jack is going to press against my side skirt. What solution would you offer for this? Jacking both sides up at the same time? Btw I have a low profile Daytona jack. Thanks

I have zero faith in the magnetic lift pads. I have .039" magnetic lift pads. After lifting the car in the right front corner the pad twisted causing the fender and rocker panel to buckle in. I didn't lift my car as high as yours. A three month old car and it has a $1,000.00 in damage! The pinch weld is still straight. The lifting surface is flat and straight concrete. The floor-jack is an almost new 4-ton Harbor Freight unit I've used before. Perhaps .025" gap lift pads are needed. I never liked the idea of the pinch welds as a lifting point. If it can bend, it's not strong.
