I just found your video, thank you for your instruction on mapping with pins. I do needlepoint and stamped cross stitch, but went wild shopping on eBay and bought several counted cross stitch kits and needed help starting them. I like how you mapped and then started sewing up that one edge to establish the border. You did a good job with the scammer and going immediately to your son when you heard the phone. We warn the elderly, but you are right, kids can be victims too. They can be convinced that mommy and daddy are in trouble and can be saved if the kid goes and get gift cards and give codes to the scammer. They are relentless once they get what they want. My husband and I used to get scam calls. Each time I tried to keep them on the line stalling and then said "Captain, have you got the trace on this call yet?". Hubby says, " Almost, calling Mumbai now.". Click...they hung up. If you want to see some folks who try to keep scammers on phone to waste their time, Kitboda has videos. Trilogy Media actually tries to help folks that have been scammed, their videos are great. Art, from Trilogy is Russian and uses his persona against scammers.

Another excellent video. You are such a great teacher. I used to secure my thread in the same way. As for the white thread, colour 5200 is bright white and came out in the 1980’s when I was doing my cross stitching. I was cleaning my craft closet yesterday and found a whole bag of completed work plus many more that I started but never completed. And of course many more that I planned on starting. I tried working with a magnifier but it just made everything blurry, so I no longer cross stitch. Diamond painting is what I do now.

I have learned how to stich from the top thanks to you. I may order this one later. The woman that called is a victim I'm sure with a hungry child or possibly owned by the men that do the scam....such a messed up 🌎

Very interesting video. I’m a little lost, though. Are you starting from the top right or bottom left of the picture? If it was top right, it looked to me like your chart was upside down compared to your canvas.

Hi Natalya! This was very informative for me. I've always wanted to know how to do counted cross stitch, but didn't know and thought it would be too hard. You explained it very well, and it doesn't look so hard. I think these stitches would be too tiny for me to start with. Do the counts number get lower if you want to do a bigger stitch? Like, you are now doing a 14 count cross stitch. Would a 12 count be a little bigger stitch and 10 count even bigger? Could you explain that in a video? I do mostly diamond painting now and coloring, but might like to try counted cross stitch. Thank you for the detailed lesson today! :-) ♡ P.S. Regarding that scam call your son got... anything that's official and comes from the government is ALWAYS done by mail. I hate those calls, too! Especially, any calls with the person having an Indian accent are definitely scammers. You told them off very well! Lol

This is so relaxing to watch ❤️ I’m sorry that happened to your son, poor Ivan. Good thing he has a mama bear 🐻 Rawr! I would be so pissed off. I don’t have children but I have furry ones and I know how offended, protective and angry I get when anything wrong is said or happening to them. People should be aware really!

If I remember correctly, in cross-stitch the regular white colour is usually marked as 1 but there is a brighter white floss which is 5200. Been a while since I worked a cross-stitch pattern.

Hi I need some help. I looked on the net and couldn’t find the answer. I’m a beginner and I’m working on Carbo Kitty by Kats by Kelly. I’m having trouble on the cats leg. The key shows three three small squares in one square. What kind of stitch is that?
