We have a park here in south Florida called the port saint Lucie rc park and it's basically this same thing without the camping part and kinda more aimed at fixed wing LOS guys. They have been open quite a long time and are doing well. My first year in fpv I was a part of it. The main issue is it's mostly for wing guys but as of the last couple months a couple of the fpv people have starting building PVC stuff. Me and a couple guys tried convincing them to lets us build stuff but apparently the county was against it and after a while I just stopped going because they didn't want to let us change anything even though the only people who used that area all wanted change

We have 25 total acres but 13a in Indiana bought paid for since the 80s. Has everything open field, woods, creekbeds to fly down like a jet fighter, ponds, roads nearby but the area is basically on a island away from the rest of the buildings. Perfect for fpv Park. To bad you want it close to Pittsburgh bot, it's a great idea man im fuckin stoked about yours and thinking about something like that here or at least have a place people can fly at with a bit of everything because I don't see anyone here flying the schools, bandos, parks when I go out flying.

Oh and the place would be booming, with surrounding state parks a couple miles away, Nashville is a tourist town so there's all kinds of cool places, there's a zip line and paintball ATV place that I worked at for years right down the road that would host people coming in, themed events and request in advance are accepted. They also have yearly music festivals right down the road from the site I own. Just sounds like a great all-around idea for this area

This is awesome idea. Land sooo cheap out there. But if u could get some manufacturing or online stores as major park sponsors maybe rdq. Or all these youtube product reviewers that get send quads and gear for free . Auction off their gear instead of give-aways and those funds go to the park. I’m from Texas so I doubt I’d ever get up to PA, but Bot’s vids helped me get into this stuff recently, and it’s definitely intimidating with modern laws. It’d be great to have a place people can meet other pilots and be in an environment where they’re not worried about breaking the rules with their quads. I’ll chip in.

lets get some sprayers in the boat:) imagine if those bandos in your park would really look like real bandos...like some type of movie prop bandos that look just like the real deal.. also on the inside.. not quite as big, but almost... it is like building a skate park. but with a more artistical approach... or some type of mini-nuclear plant chimney. (like 10-20 meter height or so) some DIY youtube prop makers or just people like flight test could help with that too...

This sounds extremely doable! 1. Start out with an empty plot of land, then add sponsor gates and lumber obstacles as time permits. 2. Then if that works out, you start adding LEDs and graffiti art all over the place, and get a simulator to make a map from a 3D scan of the place. These will help with publicity, both locally and inside the community. 3. Host some events to raise money for quality of life things like picnic grills, a dumpster, and maybe even running water/restrooms. That's it! 3 simple steps can make this an official FPV landmark! Once we get step 1 out of the way, it will only get easier and easier! We can make this a reality!
