ConFunkShuns' Michael and Felton did an interview with Tonya Hawley recently about Silk Sonics' cover and they're over joyed, in fact they're planning to do a cover of a Silk Sonic song back at them. So touching to see the mutual respect and love from everybody...so special!

I saw that interview and Michael Cooper was absolutely over the moon with this cover of their hit song. He couldn't believe the song was chosen by Bruno Mars as Michael said he has been a fan of Bruno's for a while. Not only does that song have a special but strange meaning for Michael and Felton, but when they put it out it got the same affect. It's a mesmerizing cut. It is one of my staples for road trips. OMG. I have watched the billboard video over and over. I love that song.

I made this comment on another reaction, but I'll repeat it. For people to take a forty year old song, and treat it with so much respect, even to the point of styling hair, wearing outfits, and doing moves to match the period the song came out, is so amazing! I really admire what they did, and for letting the new generation know, old school isn't going anywhere! God Bless!

Brother ConFunkShun has been my band since they hit the scene. I am old school and I love me some ConFunkShun. I rock their music today. Bruno has done it again. He tore it up. Stage presence and delivery was awesome. I love that he has a strong love for R&B. Your uncle would be proud.

I'm glad that Silk Sonic is shining a light on old skool R&B. They don't make great music with meaning like they did back in the day. I just watched your video. Seeing the pride you have for your uncle was very touching. I'm not typically a fan of covers but Bruno and Paak did it justice. I was shocked when they dropped it on Feb 14 and shocked again on the award show. Good music stands the test of time. Love's Train....forever classic.

Rest In Paradise to your Uncle Tony. Forget negative people's comments bc they are just unhappy people. We have to remember our loved ones that have passed on bc if family doesn't, then who will? Bruno and Anderson did an amazing job paying homage to the great Confunkshun. My dad passed away 5 years ago and this was his type of music so I honor and remember him by playing this era of music and dancing just like we did when I was a child. God bless.

You couldn’t have wanted anyone but Silk Sonic to do this gorgeous song, and show respect to the OG’s who wrote and performed it. I’m so glad they’ve confirmed how honoured they feel and turned up to one of the early Vegas shows, to catch up and cheer them on. There’s a great photo on Bruno’s Instagram. You must be so proud. Silk Sonic is taking us back to a place we loved, in a new way to show the young ones what real music, instrumentation and performance was and still is.
