A quick advice for a proper setup (which is very important when you are fighting for positions and a reason why sometimes other players seem to go faster in corners): Check your assists under "Difficulty" tab: - ABS assists your brakes (not very noticeable impact, try to set it on HALF) - Traction Control limits your throttle in corners, slowing you down (best is to turn it OFF completely) - Stability Control assists your steering to help you keep your car straight (try to set it on HALF) full assists are slow, assists off are very hard to drive(except TC which is best to turn it off). Tune: - suspension as stiff as your car can take, most cars are fine with full stiff suspension without hitting the ground - gear ratio depends on what track you are on, you want your car to use all gears, small tight tracks shorter gears, wider longer tracks longer gears - fully locked differential is best and very quick but need precision and skill to keep it stable in corners, try as much locked as you can handle - break balance doesn't matter much, but its better to keep it at rear

Stiff suspension on tarmac maps only, and still I would put all the way down. Also, break balance does matter and it should be at the rear so can drift better.
