Hi Gracie, a pokie tool can be used for a few things if you are a paper crafter it is mainly used to take the backing of double sided tape, pop holes into your projects or to use instead of your finger nails, if you sew this can be used to help you hold your materials in your sewing machine...........hope that helps give you a little more understanding x

Beautiful! I had never heard of making my own “poky tools” until about a week ago. Now I know what I can do with all these beads that I have been hanging onto for years. Can you please link where you get the needles?

Where did you get the plain pokey tools? I can't find them anywhere. All my searches come up with the ones that are already decorated.

I love them! I've seen a couple of crafters using them and was wondering where I could get one. I had no idea how they were made but, now I know. I have a few beads but need more findings plus the needles. Unfortunately, the bead stores have closed in the area where I live. I'm going to hope that, come summer, there will be plenty of craft shows where I can get what I need. Thanks for the interesting video.

Hi from the Wild n 'Wonderful Hills of West Virginia.i live in an, all rural area. Other than a Walmart or a thrift store gets them in to go to a bead store is over an hour away. I have found heads in Good Will more than once but I usually order online. Temu and Ali Express and are 2 places I have ordered from. It may take a couple of days longer but with both the prices are cheaper than most other companies usually more beads. Hobby Lobby has sales, every a week usually 40 % off. What is on sale this week won't be, in sale the following week but will be back on sale the week after. I am, not sure if isjust local delivery or not. Temu has free shipping which is a plus and I can't remember about Ali Express. Here is a tip. I bought a beaded pen at a craft show. It was in my fav color, purple.and blingy.I loved it. But after awhile it came apart. Since I've been watching some videos, on making both the lens and sticks use a clear glue. E600 or a jewelry glue. Plan you bead design, take beads, off, put a tiny dab of glue where your first couple of beads will go, put first bead up turning around to make sure the glue is all around on the inside of the hole, hold in place a few seconds and do the same with the the next bead. Repeat this process until the last bead is, on. If you dnt glue them they will eventually come apart and the beads will turn while using the pen or the pokey stick . Sorry I didn't see where she did glue her beads, on. She just did it while beads were on the pen. I hope this helps. Have a Blessed Day!! 💜💜💜💜

this was a wonderful inspiration: Now I have a Gypsie-poking tool, a blue and a green one, one I call "autumn" and the last one is in light pearl shiny colors. That hopefully means I will always at least find one in my chaos. Thanks so much for inspiring me!
