I never put chips, sweets or white bread in my kids lunch boxes and the only thing they get to drink is water, except we are in a restaurant or having a party. But I think this is probably the American way of life? :) My sisters both spent a year in the USA and put on 10 kilos during that time.

@harrystylesfruit💚💙 And I feel bad for all the obese kids who will be suffering health issues. My children are allowed to have sweets, but that is once a day in the afternoon. Maybe ice cream, a piece of cake, a chocolate bar,...but that's it. There are so many healthy options to eat.

I mean I make my sandwich bread from scratch and typically buy whole foods. But I also do not have children, I just pack lunch for myself and my baby sister (when I have her). And everything she eats is made from scratch unless it is something that I feel isn’t worth making at home (like yogurt or cheese for example). But all of her protein, breads, etc. are homemade. All Americans aren’t completely into only super processed foods. I believe that you can have a balance. Although I will admit that I started making everything from scratch in order to save money.
