I will say that this game does have a problem with communicating information to the player. But I will also say that maybe Ian could try focusing a bit less on finding all the collectables on his first run and just enjoy the levels. I know that goes against every bone in his gamer body, but I think it's worth saving some sanity. Some of these levels are hard enough as is. Oh, and I also think that as a compromise you could use Annie to fight the Bossbusters (mole minibosses) and Anton to fight the Satan Door bosses.

Also fun fact!! you can slide kick the bombs to make them get flung a big higher, that's how you blow up those blocks that get covered by 1T weights after blowing the pink heart detonator and that one pesky hole near the end of the level you two were struggling with for a while

The main reason why those par times are so short is simple- the game is basing the average completion time on presuming you AREN'T going to try to 100% the level first try. If you just blow straight through these levels and ignore collectables and play most of the mechanics/puzzles straight, the first or second time you finish a level shouldn't be too far off par.

So, about those bomb blocks by the blue blocks that gave Ian so much trouble: Kick the bomb with a slide. That's literally all you had to do. Always experiment with all your buttons.

So, before anything else, Casey's Funko-Pop complaints last part were entirely justified, as apparently they have a new CEO who is, in fact, evil. Even by CEO standards. That was definitely some good dialogue. It really is a shame you missed seeing it ingame. Hmm, with that one 8-ball room that seems to have no bomb, I wonder if you can hit back the giant bomb the crab is tossing and that counts as a bomb? Oh, turns out you are the bomb. That works, too. With regards to the secrets and the difficulties you've been having there, I feel like the issue is that every game has its own unique logic on how things are hidden, and you're still operating more along the lines of Pizza Tower logic, due to the similarities, rather than Anton Blast logic. I'm sure you'll start finding things more soon. You already are, in fact, getting two of the three bonus items this level. Those shades are a delightful joke!
