Why aren't you grabbing artifacts, Shack? You have to manually pick them up, and they don't automatically get picked up at the end of missions... So, you're pretty much messing yourself up for later missions.

+Palmerrip Agree - need to deploy groups of salvagers with support cruisers to each resource patch and also to crack open to get the artifacts. The salvagers can carry the artifact back to the support cruiser.

+Palmerrip +TheXPGamers Indeed, this game is distinctly different from the preceding HW titles in that it doesn't auto-collect resources left for you at the end of a mission. I think there were certain missions where the narrative demanded that you COULDN'T auto-collect in HW2, but they were definitely the exception - as opposed to this title. Gotta say, it does still kinda bug me how they ret-conned the Hyper-Space Core into existence for HW2, since it honestly made the achievment of the creation of the mothership in the first game seem a fair bit less impressive, since they fell back on the 'ancient mysterious technology' trope. I'm interested to see what the end up finding at the primary anomaly - the Core, The Guidestone, or both? It's a minor plot point overall, but it's always been something that's driven me crazy. I'm very intrigued by this game...But even my Desktop Rig is so old I can't even run this OR XCOM 2 according to minimum specs. Man, I need to save up some dough for a new build, it's been almost 6 years now since I built my current one...

I know it's a small little addition but I love how when you shoot down aircraft they sort of skim across the ground before exploding, instead of most games where they just immediately explode on impact.

When i did this mission, i broke every bulkhead before i finished off the cruisers. So my entire fleet including the Kapisi ended up being literally next to the Ashoka when they entered the map. Never have i panicked so much in an rts

From my play-through i have been getting all resources before doing objectives that enabled me to complete the game with 30,000+ resources spare at the end of the game + Missile cruisers and support cruisers for the win. i think i got all artifacts. i only missed one ruin due to not following my rule of getting resources first ;-)

+Eric bee On the other hand, I've seen some complain that the campaign doesn't press you hard enough and gives too much time to harvest resources and build up an invincible fleet, so the way he's playing it is certainly making things more exciting.

a problem with your missions is you spread your troops around you should move all units within broudcast radious so u can cover your retreat if you h ever have to

Shack I just wanted to say you've been applying power to the wrong system. Ranged systems are anti air and turret control is for ground targets you've been making that mistake for awhile and I'd just hoped to clear that up.

You are pretty good in combat it seems, Captain. However, you are CRAP at resourcing. If you're not careful you might find yourself in an unwinnable scenario later on by ignoring artifacts and most of the map resources like you did this time.
