Also, don't know if you've looked into it recently or not, but these are the classes of Borg ships: Probes: Weakest and second most common of the Borg vessels. Strong enough to go head to head with an Intrepid-class starship in terms of firepower. Spheres: Most common vessels that the Borg possess, as a sphere is considered to be perfection by the Borg, something which they themselves seek. Strong enough to go head to head with a Galaxy-class starship in terms of firepower. Cubes: The vanguard and capital ships of the Borg fleet. One of these was enough to decimate an assembled fleet of 40 Starfleet starships, whilst only suffering minor damage to its propulsion systems, as well as cosmetic damage to the hull. Equal to a Sovereign-class starship in terms of firepower. Tactical Cubes: Very few have been shown, but those that have are terrifying. Superior to a Sovereign-class starship in terms of firepower, able to take massive amounts of damage, and can decimate some of the strongest ships created by Federation, Klingon, Cardassian, Romulan, and Dominion alike. Able to fight on par with a Species 8472 Bioship in terms of firepower. Diamonds: These are the personal ships of the Borg Queen, and while not particularly strong in terms of firepower, they boast the highest defensive capabilities of any ship in the fleet, bar none. Able to easily outmatch an Intrepid-class starship in terms of firepower, and probably on par with either a Galaxy or Sovereign-class overall. Hope this helps.

i fought the borg, fed (me), klingon, rom vs borg, all on the hardest difficulty, Klingon were smashed early on and just destroyed. Rom was hit hard later on and never recovered, i took on the borg fleet (i have a slow pace then hit you hard type Strategy) I won in the end but it took like 13 hours...

i had like 6 nebulas, 130 intrepids (they seem the strongest for the least amount of space) with like 10 of the of the type of ships (only had heavy ships and planet bombers

Of course I'm four years late to this party, but I just saw this and had to mention that's basically a classic steamroller strategy, makes the best follow-up to a turtle build-up. I'm *very* familiar with it myself, since I get so overwhelmed by managing economies that it's the only way I can win an RTS match.

You really should upgrade the weapons and armor instead of just rushing up the ship tree, it won't help to have all of the ships if they are using the base weapons and armor.

Gaming635 OK then *Clears throat* Wolf 359 is a region of space very near Sector 001, AKA Earth's solar system. In the 2 part episode of TNG The Best of Both Worlds a Borg Cube appeared in Federation space. It was the second appearance of the Borg on TV, and they were on a quest for Assimilation. They had encountered the Enterprise-D previously, and they wanted to assimilate Picard, to gain his knowledge of human kind and their strength. The Borg Cube soon attracted the Enterprise after destroying an outpost and attacking a Federation starship, and a game of cat and mouse began. Picard hoped to buy Star Fleet enough time to gather a fleet of ships to fight the Borg, and the Klingons also sent ships to assist. Eventually, the Cube ran down the Enterprise, and took Captain Picard, and assimilated him. He became Locutus of Borg, and all his memories and experience became part of them. The Borg now knew all there was to know of Starfleet; Their ships, their tactics, their weapons, and all their plans, including the massive fleet waiting at Wolf 359. The Borg Cube left the damaged enterprise behind (more happened, but I wont spoil it) and barreled toward violent confrontation with the Federation/Klingon fleet. As soon as the Cube got into range, the Armada attacked it with a vengeance, but not one hit did any damage to the fully adapted Cube. With Picard onboard linked to the Hive mind, the Federation didn't stand a chance. After a long slaughter, every last ship was destroyed. Only a handful of escape pods got away, the rest of the personnel were lost. Thousands of lives, dozens of ships from two different races. All gone. The Borg Cube was not even scratched. That is the story behind Wolf 359. So for the planet with a Federation/Klingon fleet to be named Wolf 359, that spells disaster.

you must research FASTER Also the weapon and armor upgrades are better than having 10 different ship types unlocked, find a ship that you like using (bird of prey) and then work on capitals, a decent cruiser type, and weapon/shield/armor upgrades. FURTHER THOUGHT EDIT actually the old K't'inga/D7 would be a better fleet core frigate because it can also do planetary bombing, the BOP's are still important as a QRF and for catching scouts and other faster ships in battles.

Last I heard, they were, unless I heard wrong. It would be a long time in the works, though, since you would need the Asari, Krogan, Turians, Reapers, Humans, Quarians, Omega Pirates, Volus, Elcor, Vorcha... The list goes on. But last I heard, they were. Maybe have a thing where everybody is against the Reapers, or first contact war? That would be awesome, but IDK if they are serious about it or not.

you could have put a repair yard in the middle of your defensive line which would allow your guns and ships to get battlefield repairs... less guns... but with the Klingon Twin Fortress upgrade along with allied starbases/outposts you can easily hold a planet, even against the borg... also all starbases/outposts have and upgrade called Docking Booms, which will repair and restore antimatter, but this means less weapons or armor so as Klingon with twin starbases you can have one that is primarily combat, with full armor and weapons and the other one with fighters and docking booms as support and you want them near each other so they can support each other... little trick i learned from the TEC and the UNSC...

Also if you put your mines in front of your guns just outside their range so they can fire almost immediately after the enemy ships fly through them that is a lot less shields that you have to take... I am currently fighting a Borg Normal AI against me the Federation... i have two stars out of 5 on Systems of War... they Have theirs and the Large one... so i am screwed right? no allies on my side none on his and he has a better economy... how screwed am I?

the tac cube came in with the titan... i has the excalibur but... it didn't help much... what helped slow the borg down long enough was the starbase and torpedo turrets...

Never even touched Sins of a Solar Empire or Armada 3, and I can tell you this right now: If you can't generate enough currency to continue to fund your war effort against anything, ESPECIALLY THE BORG, you will not last long. Even if your fleet is massive, it will take damage, and you will lose ships. Eventually, you'll need replacements, and when that time comes, if you don't have the necessary funds, you're screwed.

You should have one orbital command structure because it significantly boosts weapon platforms fire rate and range. Also would have been a good idea to send the Pirates ayer the borg so you could focus on one enemy instead of two in theory you should all have more capital to spend than the borg

Try hit and run strategy. Attack the borg from all sides. Only engage in skirmish, not set piece battle to keep their fleet from grouping up. I played on this map as the borg vs 3 AI and had a really hard time because I couldn't defend on all fronts. And guys, USE THE WORMHOLES!!!

The borg do not bomb the planet because only one of their ship types can bomb the planets, I think its the obelisk and there were none in that Borg fleet that attacked Wolf 395 lol

What version of Sins of The Solar Empire are you playing? Is this a separate game or is it a Mod? How would I get this version of the game? Do I need the previous versions of this game in order to play it? If its a mod how do I obtain it to play? I'm not certain about mods is it just install an play or is it complicated I wouldn't want to mess with my laptops software.

After you install Rebellion and have it updated to 1.8 I believe then you just download the mod from the Star Trek Armada team and it is currently in an exe so you can just run it and it will swap your game over to the mod. When you don't want to play the mod anymore I believe you can go into options - > Mods -> Move all mods off of right hand side, and then you can play the normal game again.

I have played this game and let me tell you, nothing is worse than falsely feeling safe around the Borg. Have a large fleet, good defenses, and they show up with three cubes. Yeah...worst battle ever. It was like Wolf 359 three times over in the same place.

+Zachary Palmer I know this is an older comment, and just telling you if you haven't already found out, Star Trek: Into Darkness takes place during an alternate timeline during the TOS (The Original Series) Era. Which I am pretty sure is in between 2250 and 2310. TNG (The Next Generation) takes place during 2364 to 2371. Now that last part might be wrong, I don't know the exact years.

I don't know if your question has been answered but the base game is "Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion (you can get it on steam) and I recommend watching thexpgamers tutorial video on how to get this mod set up. The mod is called Star Trek Armada 3. Captain Shack has a good tutorial video that tells you EXACTLY how to do it. It's how I did it.
