Yeah. Sight reading is also very different than a practiced chart. On popular charts, everyone seems to suggest increasing speed to the maximum you can handle, but slower is important for sight-reading -- better to hit all "good" than fail hitting "great" & "miss"

Man I love append charts so much. I managed to get jp back in may, and they are so refreshing. It’s so nice to have a new challenge that doesn’t necessarily need you to have hands that move at light speed. And the hardest append charts (32s above) are so creative and fun. They are half the reason I wante Jp lol

Honestly appends are really fun, most of the time. My main issue is that the ratings are like really inaccurate. To EN players when appends release: Treat tell your world as a 26, pheles as 32 tondemo as 33 and i nan desu as 34 (or 33). These ratings are more accurate than the in game ones.

I've always used my thumbs when playing rhythm games, especially because it's easier to use my thumbs ever since piano tiles got popular and I got into superstar (kpop rhythm game) and eventually project sekai just this year. Seeing append played on ipads in livestreams made me curious, and I tried playing it with four fingers. As a thumb player on a regular cellphone, it did not go well 😅 but it's really fun! you can really see that they were made with love, a slightly sadistic one when you see 32 above append charts, but still love LOL

I have always been a thumb player because i simply can't properly coordinate my hands when trying to play with the phone on the table, but because of that i find it hard to progress beyond my current level and have often put the game down every couple of months for the last 2 years 😢 You did a very good job selling append in this video!! It seems like a challenge that could really help me progress further and not get bored of the game so fast. I'll do my best to learn how to play with my index fingers, though it might be harder to do on a phone 😭

I love appends but I'm so trash at them, I can only do like 25 difficulty after practicing on it for awhile, but I love how they're charted, they're some of the most creative and fascinating charts I've seen in the game and it makes me wish I was good enough to play them. I already had to alternate between 2 and 4 fingers to clear Machine Gun Poem, And since I started playing less than 3 weeks ago, I don't think adapting would be too difficult.

Somehow, my tablet doesn't support multitouch with 3 or more fingers. You can use 3 or more fingers, but if it happens that 3 or more notes need to be pressed AT THE SAME TIME, my tablet freaks out and just... cancels all touch input. For a while after that, it won't register touch (for like 5 seconds) The closest I got to a Full Combo on Append, was Shoujo Rei, since it only has 2 parts that NEED 3 finger touch at the same time

wait that happens with me too on my phone when, even sometimes, im not pressing 3 at the same time im just tapping really fast (usually when theres a lot of flick notes and trills) it just locks my input for like 5 seconds which is really annoying on 30+ maps. i thought it was an EN tap registration issue but it also happens on jp but not as frequent. i use 2 fingers/thumbs as well so idk why it locks

@@laoloserr usually it a hardware problem/limitation so you would need to get a new tablet😞 i think apple ipad is the most consistent in that they support 5+ fingers my iphone also only support 5 finger at once and doesn’t register any input if you put another fingers out

You should disable multi gestures, that worked for me. I had like a multi gesture of 3 swiping fingers for a screenshot, and disabeling that solved my problem.

My biggest frustration with append rn is my phone sometime group my touches together into one, if my fingers are too close to each other. This causes me to miss when tapping chord with small notes or multi finger slider, which is very common. Overall, it just results in an annoying experience when you miss a note and not sure whether it's because you tap the pattern incorrectly or your device registered it incorrectly. With that said, I do love append chart a lot. They are all every creative and like an evolution of the master chart. Bad apple, King, Lag Train, Ifuudoudou are among favorites in terms of reference to the original song.

My problem with append is that whenever you have to hold more then two slide notes, it bugges out and just doesn't register any taps at all. My does support up to 10 taps at the same time but it just doesn't work.

For now i only played EN Server but i have tried like IDSmile, Lag Train, Tell Your World, Shoujo Rei Append on sonolus and even tho i cant beat it its still fun. I love the refrence on append :>

As a thumb player myself I want to tell other thumb players that appends are a great way to practice using fingers for the near future if they get an iPad and get some experience im under their belt and can help with master charts if they are struggling on it with thumbs

I’ve never played append before but I’m really looking forward to the new challenge. I’m getting too comfortable in master, I’ve FCed the majority of the master charts now, working on yaminabe and what’s up pop still but I’m definitely getting there with them. It’ll be interesting to mix things up again instead of playing a different game like Lanota for the challenge

I think a lot of the hate for append comes from people expecting to be able to jump into levels that they would normally play instead of treating it like a new game, and starting from the bottom and learning fundamentals

append makes my ipad bug out because sometimes when im holding 3+ notes the screen moves horizontally and makes the game get paused. One time i got append mode in ranked and disconnected because this happened to me 😭 idk how to like stop this from happening because i’d love to play append more but it’s too inconvenient for me to play at the moment

Easy fix ! Go into your settings and search for gestures Specifically the four and five finger gestures and turn them off. Personally I have everything turned off but its up to you how you want to have it set up ! You can also look into guided access settings if you want to be 200% sure you wont accidentally swipe out

Even though some of the append charts are literally ripped from CHUTNIUM, they look so creative and good (especially as someone who continuously grinds in append levels lol). 2025 is gonna be a crazy year for pjsk since all the charts we've been getting this year in JP are very gimmicky for Project Sekai. I could do them fine since I was used to theee from prior experience but most of the RG newbies or prsk firsttimers are in EN so I wonder how that'll go for them :P

Idk if you still has problem . But i also had this issue when i first started. It gradually gets better. So i would say just take it slowly. And relax your hand so you dont put too much force into it

I've seen people use two thumbs and two index but is it doable or it's just some hardcore shit to pull off. not really excited for append if its just gonna be more like vsrg with more fixed lanes. i recently started playing pjsk,and like the entire difficulty is in not having fixed lanes lol. i am a veteran vsrg player and thats kind of the only reason i am really enjoying the game,since it is so different. maybe the charting style will be fun like the usual sekai charts, the charting is honestly very high quality(apart from some offset issues in specific songs,feels like notes are charted directly to the vocals sometimes and if the vocals and music are very offsync they feel SO weird to acc)
