Hi Deanna! The bowl cozy's I make are microwaveable, but I personally never microwave mine because I think it takes longer to heat the food if it is in a cozy.. but I know a lot of people do heat up their food in the cozy, so that's why I make them microwave safe... But I feel as long as you make the buyer aware then your obligation is over!

I don’t think you could’ve made it any clear. I’m unless you posted it across the screen. You said it multiple times these are not for the microwave. I’ve gathered many many Pittsburgh Steeler bowl cozies via Christmas gifts from my sister. She never told me not to put them in the microwave, but it never occurred to me to do it, I want it at room temperature so that when I put the hot bowl in it when I take it out of the microwave it’s protecting me and my hands. Am I missing a point somewhere? You do choose the most fun and interesting prints for your bowl Cousy. And I enjoyed the video on how to make them now if I could just get to my sewing machine it’s buried in the spare room that is really kind of a spare room that’s full of everything that I moved that I really didn’t have room for.

Hi Deanna, I think the concern is, koozies are normally meant for the microwave so not to burn your hands when taking out your bowl. I'm sure you are aware of that; you choose to make yours that are not meant for the microwave. I think you may be the only one to make yours that way which may be confusing to your viewers. Keep on creating your own way and sharing with us!

Some People are Dumb you have said so many time I guess they don’t know how expensive cotton fabric really is some people are too much make your own but I love all that you do Dana. They are all gorgeous beautiful I’m 74 years old. I don’t sew like I used to anymore I have carpal tunnel little Arthritis. and I had surgery in my hands so I just do some crafts just to keep me from stress and away from TV and excitement and depressing things so do my Crafts you go on girl you doing really good with your stuff. Good morning. You make it so clear and all your videos are the same. I keep a silicone potholder near microwave to lift out the bowl if hot. Next step bowl cookie (when I get them made😊) that way food is not sloshing or over flowing and cookie will be clean!just my thoughts. Have a great morning and glad your hubs is doing so well!🌻🌻

Hi Deanna. Thank you for over and over stressing the bowls are not microwable. Some people are just not good listeners. I do make mine with the wrap n zap. My microwave is the over the stove one and I'm short so having a built in pot holder is safety for me. Thank you again for clarifying your bowl cozies are not microwable. A few years ago I made a set of four before I realized that I used the special insulated batting and that the woman I was giving them to - her or her family members - might put them in the microwave. I put those aside and made four more for her using regular batting. I kept the original four and I use them all the time. It never occurred to me that I might be putting it in the microwave but I can see why sometimes that would be done by others. I keep oven mitts near my microwave. 😘

I think most people would know it is not to keep the food warm but to protect your hands while eating. Take your bowl out of the microwave with a potholder and set it in your cozy. People like to make things complicated.

So people are not confused possibly call them ‘bowl potholders’ instead of bowl cozies. And your product uses Pellon fusible which if used in microwave could cause a fire quite quickly. Additionally, if buys one for a gift, the recipient would not know NOT to use it in the microwave. The Warm Company manufacturers the proper product for use in the microwave. Possibly add a warning tag, specifically stating NOT for use in microwave. Sorry, I am a safety gal, and had a business sewing the bowl cozies the proper way. I even included instructions if using in the microwave only use in 2 minute increments.

I suspect that they were skipping through to get to the next step, so they didn’t hear the many times you said not for the microwave. If viewers are not paying attention, it is not your responsibility to try and reiterate in a separate video. They were SO cute, I had never seen them before. Will share with my SIL who loves sewing!

I don’t think the confusion comes from the people who watch your videos, you have been very clear. The confusion comes from years ago when these came out they were meant for keeping your food heat while eating, much like why you keep your can koozies in the frig or freezer to keep your beverages cold.
