A river of golden bones was my first DNF of the year, it sure what didn’t work but it wasn’t for me. I loved Dark Water Daughter though, but I love the author

@@katlikestoread9102 she’s only done two series, Dark Water Daughter and Hall of smoke which is (or at least starts as) a Norse inspired warrior priestess revenge story. Not sure if this is the best description of it but Hall of Smoke is the first book and the 4th and final came out last month so it’s complete
