I know what you are going through. I retired from the Army after 21 years and spent much of my career deployed and from 2003 to 2005 in Combat zones or high risk areas. My wife is a true Hero having gone through all of this with me. Strong support networks and Family Readiness Groups offered steadfast support and much needed shoulders when needed. To those of us that have strapped it on and leaned forward (and our families) it is never political or part of something greater than ourselves. It is for our loved ones and those to our left and right. Thank you for sharing. It is appreciated at many levels in our family. God Bless

I can’t imagine being away from my hubby for long periods of time. Military families are so brave. Alice
