Can't believe the trash left at the bridge!! Very sad!!

Yes but not one trash can in sight either. I agree people are pigs but for what NY taxes you they need trash cans

It is a big part of a fluctuating crowd and management. 97% of the folks fishing manage the trash properly. However, a lack of receptacles and periods when it gets busy see's trash in the can and out right after a gust. They fill quick on busy days but can sit clean for weeks on weeks and no management required, so it does become hard to manage on both ends. Not so much a matter of anyone's fault. I been seeing this for over 40 years (on the old and this new bridge)and I blame no one.

Been using night crawlers for surf fishing, they work very well. We usually catch Black sea bass, spots and croakers with them. Of course, I caught snappers with them which I live line for cocktail blues. At $5 for 18 worms can't beat it.

I actually just tried out crawlers for tog yesterday and while it worked, they tear through them like crazy. It’s definitely a very good bait for spot too!

Nightcrawlers or earthworms 5:32 are the all purpose universal bait in my opinion 🤙😎

Hi Jerry, I've never seen a nightcrawler wearing panty hose. I guess I got the wrong kind. LOL Lots of little Spots today and a Sea Robin. It's always fun to catch fish. Have fun out there, Mickey

LOL, my dad and I often used earthworms in the river for winter flounder (all of us in the East know fluke vs founder, but I'm just being kind in saying winter flounder). So when the worms worked my dad was cocky and wanted to use fresh water brim as bait for stripers off the jetties. 10000% NG, fish died in seconds when we tried to float them, and nothing touched them at all-LOL But earth worms do work in most situations that you would use a blood worm in saltwater. IDK about them replacing sandworms.

Always wanted a worm bin but don’t have the space in NYC. They’ll break down the scraps and give you the finest plant soil around
@JayMac-kj9kt2 ай бұрын
You should check out kitchen composting. You feed the worms vegie scraps and paper only and freeze meat scrapes to chum your favorite fishing spots when you get out. Peace and brother love to you and all.

Try the europeans, they hold well in high temps, I just order as needed, keep a small container, and very cost effective

Just this summer did night crawler/ blood worm competition and no difference noted with croaker, spot and kingfish. At $6 for 18 vs $18-20 for 12 skimpy blood worms I’ll be using nighties for both the salt and sweet water. Go get ‘em.

It's so sad people are given the opportunity to fish off a bridge and just don't give a damn where they throw their garbage, one day they will prohibit people entry on the bridge because of those who don't care . Try fresh raw shrimp pieces you'll be surprised what you catch .

I hear ya Juan it's a mixed mismanaged problem where you can point fingers in all directions and nothing will happen. Just what it is like a mis managed fishing industry. I dunno, them there shrimps I put in the fryer for me!
