Yes, I realize the glitter is not eye safe, but i think its common knowledge that using ANY pressed glitter is at ur own risk. So yes, be careful and dont do it just because i did lol

The problem with Colourpop (especially lately it seems) is that they make a lot of glitters that they state "aren't intended for eye use", like with the yellow glitter in this one. It aggravates me to no end that they make products clearly intended for use as shadows then label them that way - a few people are thinking the reason they may not be eyesafe is because of the size and shape of the particles. Likely not cosmetic grade glitter. A makeup company should be using makeup grade, naturally...

leatherandjade arts if they are going to make presses glitters then at least make them eye safe by using smaller glitter particles. I won’t use them on eyes but maybe on my cheeks or lips to get some use out of them. 😐

Starla Wilson they put the disclaimer on the packaging “not intended for use around immediate eye area” because it prevents people from being able to sue them because they technically told the consumers. 😒 Idk why they just didn’t put a regular shimmer instead.

ALL glitters are deemed “not eye safe” for legal reasons. There is no such thing as eye safe cosmetic grade glitter, which is why pressed glitters in eyeshadow palettes are so annoying. Oh, that and they also rust.

You made this palette work nicely with those other shadows! To me this palette is 9 shades of the same colour in different textures and slightly different tones.. seems like such a strange release to me - more for the collectors or those who want to add some yellows to their collection I think!

I love how the black mixed with the yellow to make a beautiful olive tone! Plus the glitter really pulled the raspberry in from the lower lash line with the pinky red shimmers throughout that section. This is so beautiful!! I’m convinced you could use motor oil and tree sap and STILL get an amazing look!!! 💗

I honestly dont really own that many yellow shadows surprisingly. I know Theresa is Dead did a whole video maybe a month ago swatching all of her yellows. Maybe go check that out?

@@AnnettesMakeupCorner I bet you'd be surprised how many yellows you have, they really sneak up on you! I know comparison/swatch type videos are sometimes not very exciting. I did watch Theresa's video, and while it's fun... it's not super functional. Tons of randomly placed finger swatches on bare skin make it hard to compare. I think her huge collection of ALL the yellows (plus some oranges, browns & golds) made it overwhelming, so there wasn't much mention of formula or performance on your eyes.

They are all focused on one color. I like that a lot and think it works as they are so small. 💙💙💙I think some of the other monochromatic palettes are a lot better color story wise than this one. It just needs more variety in light and dark shades. But I guess thats not really possible with yellow without it turning into brown or orange or another color lol

I thought three of the colors were similar enough that they wouldn’t be missed if swapped out. They put in a mustard which is great. But they could have put in a Dijon (darker), a flax (grey toned yellow) and a warmer orange based yellow (being careful to keep it more yellow than orange). Yellow is having a moment and most brands missed the memo so we have to make due with a shade here or there. So for me having a whole palette is a big wow!!! Could be better but I’ll happily make do 😁

Okay. First of all, great job with this! I think it really vouches for the palette, because the most common complaint about it is that it doesn’t work as a stand alone palette: FAIR. But your tutorial really shows that by adding in just one or two other shadows you can really create something beautiful! For only $12, this palette is totally worth it. Super cute.

I use glitters every day - love them:D Just take a makeup wipe and wipe the shadow and glitter above my wing liner to take off the glitter part. then I use another clean wipe to remove the rest of the makeup!

I think what you did is gorgeous! You blended the yellows and black perfectly. This palette would be good for the more quiet, softer colour admirers out there, I personally couldn't use it though, it would look ghastly! Not a yellow person at all.

Your look is beautiful but this is one palette I’m finding easy to resist (thankfully! Lol). I love yellow eyeshadow but this palette doesn’t have enough depth & range & I would never use the pressed glitter. I find it so uncomfortable to wear. The only glitter I trust is Stila or UD Heavy Metal Liner. That lower lash with the yellow is 🔥😍

I still haven't made up my mind on whether I will buy this palette. I have all the monos but the blue. I'm sure it will go well with some of the other ones, but I'm still on the fence. I wish they would stop with the pressed glitters. I used one of them once-huge mistake. I had glitter all over my face, brushes, and body for DAYS. Yes, not having a dark shadow is limiting. It's a cute palette for the price though. Yellow doesn't show too much on my skin tone but I own a lot of it and the unpigmented ones I use as a color corrector on my face.

I love the look, it came out so pretty. I just got mine in today. And I agree, it's not really a stand alone palette. I will be using others palettes or singles with it. The first one I though of is the blue palette from cp I just it and I think blues and yellows look beautiful together. And I want to do a look using that dark army green from the green cp palette. It's not a stand alone but I'm going to enjoy a combining it with many things. Also I have to say I love your channel, since I discovered it has become one where I watch every video, even if it's a topic I would normally pass on. Your too funny and have great techniques for colorful looks 😍😍😍😍

Gahhh! Yellow looks so good on your eyes. I’d love to see you do more yellow based looks, it’s so bright and fun. Yellow and purple would look beautiful together. I’ve seen a few Indi brands come out with yellow palettes lately, but colourpop does it best I think. (Except for not adding a darker shade in the palette)

Thanks! I like yellow too, but for whatever reason its never the color I reach for first. Purple and yellow are tough to combine sinc they are complimentary colors. Still of course very possible, but I feel like thats why a lot of brands maybe dont put both a matte purple and a matte yellow in palettes. I'll try to do a purple and yellow look soon tho

Lol In hairdressing purple and yellow are two of the most fundamental complimentary colours, if a hairdresser doesn’t know this they either don’t do hair colour or shouldn’t do hair colour. But I think if it’s done right, it could look pretty on the eye. Maybe I should try it?? 😂😂 it’ll just end up like my last attempt though so I’d love to see you do something with both colours

Thanks I think you just need to find the right yellow for your skin tone. Maybe you'd be better off using a yellow shimmer instead of a matte

This was so fun! I’m liking the jawbreaker palette but I’ve only used the pinker shades. I bought this palette a couple of hours ago with the blue and red palettes and a few CP liners. Try a waterproof eye makeup remover the oil will help the glitter to glide smoothly of your lid and stick to the your cotton pad/wipe. I like to finish with micellar water to make sure everything came off.😋

I just got mine 🌟🌟😍😍😍 However although the pressed glitter is beautiful I wished they would have put a duochrome white to yellow gold instead. I just don't like glitter cause I'm petrified of getting it in my eyes and it's so messy to clean off 😒.

Originally I assumed I'd get this palette as soon as it came out because I love yellow and then I saw it and between the pressed glitter (ugh) and lack of a very dark mustard or something else to add a bit of depth, I decided against it. The other monochrome palettes I have from CP can stand alone but you're right, this one just can't. Once I started thinking of it as a supplementary palette and a way to keep lots of my yellows in one place I liked it again, lol, so I ordered it. I'm wary of the goopy glitter going off faster than the shadows so I might just pop that pan out, especially as I really don't think I'll use it.

I’m totally not a “use only one palette to make an eyeshadow look” type of person. I seriously don’t think I’ve ever only used the colors in one palette. So I absolutely love all of these little monochromatic palettes from colourpop they are perfect for me. When I make a look I will think ok I want some yellow here so let me look at a bunch of different yellows to see which one I like the best for this area, then I’ll think maybe I need a green so i open a bunch of palettes to find the right green. So this is perfect for me! But I’m sure as a KZbinr people expect you to use only one palette for most looks and they don’t want you to use 5 different palettes because then they would need each one of those palettes to recreate the look

Love the lipstick and the black shadow was so good with the yellow 💛 i'm a little disappointed with this palette. I don't think it's yellow enough to be a yellow palette. It feel like they rushed to get this palette out and didn't get the color story spot on. But it's a nice palette!
