Finished decent. Didnt hit the setup but you rolled it in the trailer in one piece, that's a win in a different way

The in-car camera during qualifying clearly showed how the right rear was sliding. When you are looking straight into the infield wall told me, "that doesn't look right"! 🤫 But you drove a great A Main and got the HC award. Good job! ✌✌

Hey Tanner, I am actually from Lemoore which is about 15 to 20 minutes east of Hanford! I've been going to Kings Speedway since I was a kid and it's awesome to see someone doing videos at the old track. Thank you for doing this video and stay awesome!

Tanner pretty good job. In the beginning the car was pushing pretty bad glad you got that worked out. You fell back into the "timid " mode on your restarts. You own every inch of that race track , quit working and second guessing those other cars out there. Find your lane , spot and opening, and go for it, point and shot, hammer down, let the others worry about you! You have the equipment ,you have the support now use it to your benefit. You will be a very clean controlled hard charger every time you put that right foot to the firewall, turn left , control your breathing and you will be just fine. Oh, by the way you are racing against some pretty darn good guys. Make it a great evening, jw

Getting the setup to match track conditions for qualifying is SO critical. Your below-average qualifying seems to be a theme. Concentrating on getting the setup to be competitive for qualifying would surely improve your starting spot in the A Main. Hard Charger shows your skill in dealing with traffic--you did good. I really enjoy watching your journey.

Yeah, Either the setup guy needs replaced or he needs a better engine. The dirty little sprint car secret is traction control units. I think Tanner is good enough to win but the big race crews are way ahead.
@dankdank9837
@dankdank9837 Жыл бұрын
I don't think it is the engine. I know it would be a pain but I wonder if they could bring the 360 up top in the hauler and run both. You would think getting more laps out there would help so they aren't chasing the car all the way through the main.

Starting off with poor qualifying is definitely not a good way to start. All told, you did reasonably well. You said it in a previous video, these NARC guys are no joke. The more you race with them the better you'll do.

Tanner your driving is a 99 it's that 1 percent qualifying that kills you.. I'm sure if you can qualify in the top 10 you'll get those top 5s... Eat your wheaties and start running up and down your driveway for best time like track practice and in two weeks you'll be amazed at the results it will reward you with. You are sooooo close to those big timers times..it will be worth the effort physically and most of all a mental booster.. good 🤞😊 luck .. that's all you need your driving smart enough to win..getting toned and in good shape will make you feel more one with the car.. you are learning alot like how to setup your car for the entire race for later on now...lots of stuff involved to win but feeling more in shape than the others will give you so much more confidence when you are racing them wheel to wheel... Don't get lazy now ..you will be sore the first few days but afterwards it's fun to feel your progress without being sore...lots of racing competion left to go

What? Winner 17-year-old Corey Day hasn't got any-where-near the years of experience Tanner has. Day ran 2nd with WoO @ 16-years-old. Tanner plateaued 2 years ago. Tanner's single sprint car race highest earnings is still over $5000 less than his highest sprint kart earnings. Which of those 2 costs the most to run?
@melabshier5812
@melabshier5812 Жыл бұрын
@@raymond3803 Good for Cory. It's apples and oranges. Cory gets more seat time in 360's and 410's. And put in top equipment around the country. Last Sept. WOO Sage Fruit Cup Final race at Skagit on the Saturday. Tanner was the highest finishing non Outlaw in his family car ahead of Cory. 360 Knoxville Nationals 2 years ago, Tanner was the 3rd highest finishing "rookie", as it was his first time ever to race the 360 Nationals at Knoxville. Again, family race car.

@@raymond3803 - Don’t forget about up and coming 17 year old Ryan Timms from Oklahoma. He isn’t as good as Day, but the kid looks like he knows how to run a Sprint Car…

@@melabshier5812 - You have to ask yourself though, why is Day in the position to run in “top equipment,” and how is he able to stay in top equipment?
@melabshier5812
@melabshier5812 Жыл бұрын
@@strumbum946 Well because Cory's Dad was a well known successful racer; And he had the equipment at his disposal. Along with racing knowledge passed down. Tanners dad and family had no racing background. They've had to build from scratch. They didn't know anything about car set ups, shocks, etc. And are still learning. All the things Cory had in abundance through his Dads race shop and connections.

Consider McFadden had won 3 of the last 17 WoO shows dating back to Lakeside. He shows up, starts up front, with his normal WoO ride & crew at a local NARC show. Corey Day drove by McFadden ........ Then drove away. Day is so fast, Tanner needs to concentrate on Alaska, South Africa, or Tasmania sprint car circuits. Tasmania looks pretty tough though. Way better videos --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZPSeGOjetKdmMU

You know better than i do to come through the field and get hard charger doesnt happen on a nightly basis. Great Job .
