I love to watch You work. I also see the Beauty in the natural sand in the opals. But its obvious we are few and far between. I also love watching Justin from Black Opal Direct, he is a master. Pulitzer Prize Opal is a top gem opal cutter I like to watch. I know it takes time and patience to get as good as those gentlemen! Keep on doing what You love doing. God Bless You!

Those guys are ridiculously talented. Goals!! Pulitzer Opal is my favorite. The Don! I think he's commented on a Brazilian opal video i did, and i was ecstatic. He has a cool nephew too who does awesome photography and gem work.

Nice stone Nick, I prefer the free form style of opal too. Good job. Almost there 998,

I think i'll be exploring shaped stones now, for the sake of sales. I prefer free form though. Thanks Jeff!!

I love the blue and lavender combo in this stone. I plan on learning to make cabochons on wheels like this and eventually move to opals. Watching the sand grind away is mesmerizing and it looks so relaxing, nerve-wracking and thrilling all at once!

I'm just getting into them after getting a custom-made ring, and then I found this fascinating channel.

A bit late for me to weigh in on this one, but it looked as though there was enough material to split the opal through the colour bar and make 2! Then you could dice the upper and on one, dice the lower sand in the other

I have a bag with different looking raw stones. I know that they’re opal. The thing is most are chalky white blue or green with no color and others appear to be lightening ridge. There is a yellow tint and lines. I was wondering what I should do to figure out how to make them polished without knowing what type. Ty

Always appreciated. I start shaping on the black Nova wheel, #220. From there, #600, #1200, #3000. All but the #220 are stock with the cab king. The Nova is super super nice to use though, seriously.
