I have a tape idea for you to try... I adhere aluminum ducting tape to cardstock and use it to die cut words, and images for my projects. You can use alcohol inks to add color or create an aged look. Turns out pretty cool.

I like to die cut letters and numbers and glue onto card stock first, then cover with that tape and color. I usually stack 2 when I glue them down. Lots of interesting textures.

Great tutorial! You did a tutorial using the Avery Clear Matte Label Sheets (full sheets), which I love printing on. I usually have some edges or spots that are left over from cutting out my images...these "extras" are also perfect for alcohol inking. I've made my own tapes from the leftover strips and spots. Thanks for such great ideas to make our own "products"!

I know folks are going to think me weird, however, I'm sat here going, "Tracy, your lovely blouse sleeve is dragging through the ink", I do hope it didn't ruin your pretty top! I was relieved to see you changed to another top. I've tried the faux vintage tape with alcohol ink, works well. And I've done faux washi tape using medical tape and stamping, but I've not ever tried the collage paper, so I'm off to try that now. I do hope your top was not affect by the inks. Happy crating!

Thank you for sharing Tracie! I Love making my own different tapes you can make your own themed tapes for your projects , I could play for ages haha! I have printed on the medical tape too, but stuck it to a sheet of Doeflex (as close together as possible so there are no gaps), before I put it through my printer , it can be peeled off when you need it. Acetate may work for this too? I’ve also used A4 double sided tape and stuck one side to a thin cotton fabric and printed on it, it can then be cut to size when you need it. Sadly it doesn’t stop from buying washi tapes 😂 xx
@cjsimplyscraps2 ай бұрын
Kallaila, first I have to say your name is beautiful. If I was way younger and was having a baby I would name her that since I’ve heard it. Truth is though I have 3 sons and one grandson, 4 brothers and 2 male dogs 🤣🤣🤣thanks for all the extra tips. This was such a fun video, so many fun options, some new some I’ve done. I will have to look up what doeflex is. And I agree. All I have to see is a Tim Holtz or 49 & market washi and that no, no no more washi just melts

Out of all the tapes that you demonstrated, at 14:26 in the video, I liked the trick you did with double-sided tape on the Tim Holtz paper the best! I think I can do this one without too much bother. I didn't go for the idea of ripping up a book (EGAD! GASP!) to make printed tape, as I used to work in a Public Library, and this made me cry when I saw you destroying a perfectly good dictionary. ~Janet in Canada

Wow great video. A lot of stuff packed into less than 20 mins. I loved the packing tape over the pictures. Have never seen that before. This looks like a great mass make. So the packing envelope. Did you tear it to get that texture in the middle of the padding or was that just the inside? I’ve never seen that because I open them up and make master boards

I have not had an issue either. If you don’t have blending solution use alcohol but use over 90%

Also maybe it was just the tape. I’ve had tapes that have just broken every time you touch it. If it’s not stored right it can become a problem. Not you but factory, transport, warehouse,transport, store and or mail
@jokemooy53642 ай бұрын
