English is not just a language, it's a skill that opens doors to opportunities in today's world. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you speaking to your kids in English. It’s a conscious effort to prepare them for a future where English plays a significant role in education, competitive exams, and interviews. Children in India naturally pick up Hindi through school and friends. But without a strong foundation in English, they might struggle academically/ professionally later in life. As someone who has grown up observing how people often struggle with English, I understand how important it is to build this skill early on. It’s not about neglecting Hindi but about equipping them for the future. Parenting decisions are personal, and he’s clearly doing what’s best for his kids!

Time people focus on own life and family first. All the languages in the world are just a means to communicate and understand each other.
