I look forward to it, I went to Kyoto with my wife a few years ago to visit the Shinsengumi sites, including Mibudera and the places around it.

I really enjoy this series! I particularly laughed when Hinata was crunching the gravel near the gravesites, the joy of making noise with your feet must be a universal kid experience. Your family is so sweet, and even through a video, very gracious hosts!

My only knowledge of the Shinsengumi is from anime (specifically Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X) But to hear about the real life versions of them is even more fascinating! I know their a HUGE part of Samurai pop culture! Though I can't remember what they did or who they fought ^^; Maybe do a video on them if you haven't already, Shogo? ;3 This was really cool!

I gotta say a lot of family vlog people really try to control their children’s behavior in videos, so I really respect how you guys let harumi be herself and just enjoy the temple at her own pace.

I know it's weird but would you be able to make a video about the members of shinsengumi and their roles in history. I know Gintama is just a parody but it honestly makes me look into the real life ppl mentioned. Thanks for the video

I used to live five minutes from Mibu-dera when i lived in Kyoto. It really is one of the worlds most beautiful towns! Also there never used to be a very large crowds, strangely enough. I thought the temple would be more popular for history aficionados! Love your channel and keep up the great work!

My knowledge of the Shinsengumi like most westerners came from anime like Kenshin and Peacemaker Kurogane. That was years ago now and from that time I had become very interested in learning their history, and that of the era they were from. Seeing you cover it as well has helped me learn more too! Love this!

One "hidden gem" I would LOVE you to find in Kyoto...I have heard that there is a "sashimono-shi" in Kyoto that makes very fine wooden items for TEA CEREMONIES that might interest you and your subscribers. There is MUCH interesting tradition in their disciplines that could be spoken of. Great video with your beautiful family. Arigatou gozaimasu! /deep bow

Yes, I had a good time visiting Mibu-dera too! Seeing the place is a must for Shinsengumi history fan. I was also surprised by the kindergarten inside the temple, with so many cute kids there. The movie "When the Last Sword Is Drawn" (壬生義士伝) inspired me to be interested in the story of Shinsengumi. Thanks for sharing your family's visit of the place!

Mibudera is such a a neat temple. One of my favorite little trips was to take an early train to Kameoka, ride the Sagano Scenic Railway through the Hozukyo gorge back to Arashiyama Torokko station, walk through the bamboo forest down to the Arashiyama station for the Keifuku Randen and then ride it to the end at Shijo Omiya and walk down to Mibudera. There's a really good confection shop nearby that sells super tasty warabimochi.

The original name of the Shinsengumi is the Mibu-roshi-gumi. The Mibu temple is the reason why people referred to the Shinsengumi as the wolves of Mibu. Or Miburo Okami.

I'm sorry for invading your comment section again, I think I contaminaited all your Shinsengumi videos with my existence already, but I again have a question that may sound stupid. One person I trusted in the past said that you cannot visit Okita's grave without permission before because many people stole some small stones from it. I don't remember the details, where is it exactly located or if the story is true. Do you have ay more info about it? I'm really sorry for asking a lot of questions again.
