I am so happy for you. The excitement in your voice when you first purchased the addition regarding what you wanted to do was inspiring. Now seeing it come to fruition is fun. You are an inspiring young man (I'm 69, I get to call you young!🤣). You look at and plan your future, far more than many do no matter their age. Congratulations on another step forward towards your dream. Thanks for sharing and bringing us along.

I am 68 years old and loaded with cancer, and Chris inspires me to keep going, and I do. I want to make my dreams just like Chris. I have so much I want to do, and I'm getting there step by step. With Chris setting the example, I've got a whole lot more to do. That rock is beautiful. What a sign that is going to make. I hope you will have it engraved like a golf course sign. Chris, you do amazing work. Everything is beautiful when you are done. Thank you for sharing all that you do, and God bless you, Chris. You are a fine young man, sir.

That "multi layers" fabric has a lot of strength for the application you're using it in. The road should be firm for decades.
@johncates50812 ай бұрын
Your fabric looks like a product I've seen used on poured basement walls after the tar is sprayed on and before the gravel and backfill to protect the tar layer from getting dinged up. It also allows a space for water to flow down to the tile around the footer and keeps pressure from the tar coat
@OpenThisGate872 ай бұрын
It reminds me of the product that we lined the light rail tunnel in Portland to control ground water; a layer of felt glued onto a sheet of dimpled plastic.

You did a good thing by putting in that tile and pulling the moisture to the creek and bringing the turf up to mowing height. I’m excited for the landscaping that you will add to the rock sign at the Y. The roll of geo fabric is intended for the extact use you are using it for. It is for crappy subgrades and adds major strength in areas where you cannot cut soil sand. The non woven fabric on both sides of the geo webbing allows water through so the gravel does not turn to slop

Love seeing those South Korean tractors out perform Deere and Kubota any time I can! I was looking at Deere and realized they were in the "right to repair" lawsuit so between that, the way higher cost and Kubota being about the same price as Deere and all the proprietary attachments I bought a TYM. Same hp rating $4000 less, standard skid steer quick attach and way higher capacities. My neighbors soul at me and I don't regret it one bit. Automakers, same deal. The F 350 platinum Diesel I looked at a little more than a year ago was right at $100k. It's still at the dealer for $67k now. If Camel Toe wins in November I will keep waiting.

I live in NC in Craven County and I just bought a big house in Maine and a separate 13acres! Ever since I've been watching you, DP, and Bealygood, Ive learned so much about land management and hope to be doing alot of tree removal and clean up of that 13 acres by myself which I'm very confident on doing! Of course I don't own any equipment except for a tractor with a bush hog and a box blade, I'll be renting equipment like a mini excavator and so on! Chris I would like to learn how to use a transom, is there anything out there that can teach me that without attending a class?? Once I get that done I'll be pretty much unstoppable!! Letsdig18 and Dirt Perfect and Bealy good, you guys are awesome teachers all I need is some practice on equipment and I'll be deadly! I'm hoping to own more acreage in Maine!! At the end of the month I'm leaving NC and starting a new life in Maine! Thank you guys for showing us all how things are to be done the correct way! YOU GUYS ROCK!! Even when I get to Maine I'll still be watching you guys and Chris and Bealygood you guys will make me feel like I'm back in NC!!

That was a good guess. That material is used by being placed vertical on a foundation wall. Any water filtering thru the soil to reach the outside layer of fabric penetrates the fabric and is then transported down the wall to an underdrain by means of the inner geogrid.
@CraigGrant-sh3in2 ай бұрын
That fabric is used on foundation. And it would seem on driveways also. I actually think it's a great idea for roads as it has that core to move water away instead of just a thin fabric

We used to roll that out on the sides of the sulfuric acid pond when we were building them in the mines, it would allow the acid to run below the rock and we could pump it out of the very bottom.
