I’ll never live this down! Wife just poked her head around and said what you watching. I said videos she takes a peak and says... only a man would sit and watch sand being dumped out of bags by heavy equipment then turned shaking her heard and states “of all the dumb assery to watch you pick dumping sand. I said it’s a man thing. She said ain’t that the truth of it. lol

That beautiful bit of graded topsoil will have restored Chris' equilibrium after the severe hit it took with those ever so slightly misaligned screws on the roof of the Pole Barn. That's not to say that Chris will still have sleepless nights, worrying about low flying aircraft over the farm noticing those screws, and gasping at said misalignment. Just a thought, but after all that fuss the spec made about the siltfence, one good gust of wind is going to spread half that straw across the lake.

I was thinking that for those kids and protecting your equipment I could loan you my pet bear! Well, not sure if he is a pet. He is usually up on a ridge where we haul hay bales to. While we work, he rolls around in the old hay and grunts and groans. Looks like a dog being goofy! So cute you might want to go pet him, all 400 ish? pounds of grizzly bear. Not sure why he does it, he never gets fed and can eat hay anywhere he wants on the ranch. We keep him well away from the houses, corrals, and work shops, at least a mile or more. He learned to stay out. Take 2 or 3 calves in the spring and that’s it. We used to run 550 - 650 head depending on things. Anyways, he sure looks cute and cuddly out there rolling in the old hay. I think you can show up with your biggest bucket, Tim and your Uncle can herd him into the bucket, or Tim looks fast and wiry, tease him into the bucket with some jerky or something, then jump out as the bear goes in! Your Uncle will follow them to make sure the bear doesn’t get out! Then, wham! You close the thumb and the bear is yours for security! I think he is friendly,,,,,,, Ok, ok, stupid idea, but we do really have that damn bear up there on the hill! I like talking about him, obviously. Not sure how tolerant the new owners will be. They were not impressed by the story. Called B.S. on it until we showed them. They wanted to sell that quarter section back to me! Hahaha, their problem next week! I’m sure some day he will move on. Probably less than 10 years old for our area. Southern Alberta, Canada. They don’t get really big here like on the coast or in Alaska.
