I received my thank you letter today from Atlanta gaslight company thanking me for practicing safely and protecting their gas lines while excavating lol 😂 I know it’s been at least 16 if not 18 years since I struck the gas line that they not only marked but swore it was on the opposite side of the intersection just adjacent to the property where I was digging. But that was the second gas line And it was only about 2 1/2 inches. The first one was above ground on the side of a humongous building that was under demo and supposedly it was no longer active but it was a 6 inch line And the closest cut off valve was nearly 4200 feet away and buried under 60 years of asphalt cobblestone and concrete man that roar when the gas came out of it. It sound like elephants in heat

Chris' idea of how to unwind after a hard day's work; go knock some trees down. I salute your dedication, sir.

It’s amazing to watch the excavator struggle to dig out the roots then once the tree falls he just picks it up with ease and moves it out. Such power!

It’s amazing over the area you have cleared the different types of sub soil, how it can change so quickly. Here in the UK in east Anglia you have a field that’s clay or sand and you only seem to get a change from clay to sand in a field if it’s on a hill.

A young couple inadvertently built part of their new house on my friend's property. The man and his wife come see him and say they can't afford to buy the land. My friend said it's not for sale. The wife starts crying and my friend eventually gave them the land for free. It was a bad situation. I'll never buy a piece of land without having it surveyed.

That was a mistake. He should have put a lien on the property, and leased them the land they were using. That way if they ever sold he would recoup the value of the land they were using. Now he’s just plain out of pocket.

I've been watching you for years and I've got to tell you how jealous I am of those thumbs! I've been clearing a building lot this past week with our Kobelco 140 and 36" bucket, but my thumb is only about 8" wide! Man what a pain in the butt with the brush, but we're getting it done. Just adapt and overcome. Excellent work as usual Chris, thanks for keeping us entertained.

Yes, it must be dry - we can hear your tracks squeek [ no mud ]. What if you made it more fun and called out 'pulpwood' for the little trees and 'saw logs' for the bigger trees? Thursday I got 2.75 inches with lightening & thunder, yesterday more thunder and 1.75 inches and on this sand hill the puddles were gone in 25 minutes. We know you do not like a mess, but that mess shows how much you have dropped.

Is pulp wood bringing much in your area?. It’s so low in North GA it’s almost not worth cutting with diesel prices and equipment parts unavailability. I’ve been seeing folks beg to find people to cut their pines with no success. Hardwoods are still decent but most guys won’t even bid pulpwood jobs even with multiple pulp mills within 50 miles of here. Sure have enjoyed watching you do this Bealy Good place. He’s gonna have a nice outfit when it’s all cleaned and planted. Keep up the great work.
