The manufactured homes going over the edge was priceless, thanks guys. Busy landfill, whole lots of rebuilding going on. When I was little boy Dad would haul junk and garbage to the landfill and I was so fascinated to see all the big trucks and heavy equipment. Yup those were the glory days for sure. I think working there would be exciting but eventually it 's just a job and not a fantasy. Thank all the workers who do their part taking care of modern day rubbish. Happy vacation Chris thanks for the videos.

Chris I do believe it is much easier grinding pallets than concrete. Does it spit out the nails and staples? Mr. Diggs is making it happen. From destroying mobile homes to top dressing he's got you covered. What percentage of material received do they recycle (metal, wire, etc) and or turn into mulch? Super operation and great aerial views. Thanks for the fun daycation. Hope they found the water leak. That is sad.

Las Vegas's Apex Landfill has the largest reserve landfill space in the world. We still have another 2000+ years' worth of space, and the site is run by it own methane well to run all its power equipment like lights, motors, and crushers.

To Chris/LD18: You've a one-of-the-kind natural TV personality combined with the smarts & knowhow to purchase/then operate heavy equipment while creating live video of your operation. KZbin wishes to duplicate that while falling amazingly short. Who could blame KZbin, but you are the secret to the sauce, ask a retired cook like me. Thanx a whole bunch, you often make my day.

That job would drive a lot of people nuts, because you're watching useful products and materials just get buried all day long. Those rolls of plastics, some huge coils of wire, endless construction leftovers etc.. But it's just not worth trying to recover & sell it.

Mr Digg has explained it before. If he could get everyone to reduce, reuse, recycle he would. But unless there is monetary incentive to do it, the customers would rather bury it for cheaper than have it processed other ways.

It’s all about the prices. They have TONS of trees there to make pulpwood - it’s the economics. Recycling is probably more expensive in that case

Coal fired power plants grind the coal down to the consistency of flour and blow it into the firebox. That stuff will eat through schedule 120 pipe elbows quite quickly. That's why they run parallel sets of piping. My brother in law worked on building a side by side set of generating sets.
