Chris… Fella you already know my deep, sincere respects for you, for your skills and abilities with machines, soil and trees. Will you please do me a huge favour and let Robert know just how much I respect him as well for the hardworking man he proves himself to be and for all his skills with machine and earthmoving. He really is an awesome guy, a hugely valuable member of your team.

Nice burn for what you had to work with. Nice job of loading ties, always fun to see someone operate a machine that makes it almost like you were just reaching out with your hand to move ties around, then neatly stack them to boot, sweet. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.

This property looks like the one you cut drainage ditches in years ago. I think it was before the Bealy Good videos of the small pond build. 30 years ago my neighbor and I built a new wooden fence using used RR ties as posts and cementing them in the ground. That fence is still standing strong today allthough we did have to replace some boards after 25 years or so.

When I have piles that are like from a logging ramp... very dense lot's of small stuff with pine needles and leaves... Anyway you know what I'm talking about.. I'll dig into the middle of it and make like a volcano with the path I dug into the middle going with the wind direction.. and light the pile in the center and the outside. You might be surprised and the time saved burning those types of piles.

I’m kind of surprised you don’t have a telehandler, Chris, for shuffling things around and loading/unloading materials and attachments. My guess is that you are just so comfortable with excavators that it makes more sense this way, but I wonder whether you might get some good use out of a telehandler as well.
