What I like to do when a fish comes out beat up a bit from the fight. I keep koi spray in the box. Pick it up at any decent fish pet store. Usually used when koi pick up scratches in a pond at home. Just to help them heal up and kill any germs. Figure it works since koi and carp are basically the same species.
