It depends on the casino. They tighten up & loosen out on regular days, weekends & holidays. I never play weekdays. I have to wait weekends. You have to have discipline. I play to win not to amuse myself.

Love the 7’s!! Hit the 7’s with the stars on a Friday night at one casino, 50 cent denomination and then the following day at a different casino, I hit them again, this time $2 denomination. Both were handpays and looking back, the odds were astronomical that this were to happen. Sometimes the stars do align. Good luck brother.

The slots are still the same as they always were. The difference is we're more used to playing newer, video slots which give us tiny payouts to keep us engaged and feel like we're winning. Length of play is why the 3-reels you see on casino floors are single payline instead of the 5-line versions of the game. The latter machine will give you 5 credits far more often and allow you to play longer. The casinos would rather have newer slots with higher bet amounts because they make more money when people play those longer. A fun video would be playing something like Dragon Link for the same bet amount, but different denoms so that you're betting different numbers of lines (e.g. play 50 lines on 1 cent denom vs 10 lines on 5 cent denom). What you'll discover is that the setup with the less lines pays out less often, but you're more likely to get either closer to your bet amount or more than that when it pays. I do this all the time by only betting 5 lines on Ainsworth games. You can definitely notice a difference.

These old school slots have been making $$$ for the casinos for a long time. A bad run fot the gambler, or a good run is a bit of an abberation, but overall it's called "house edge" not "players edge". Thanks for posting.

I hope old school doesn't go away! I got out the other day and only played old school. I'm not a fan of the glitz & glamor of new school. I didn't walk out a millionaire but I was able to double up! Sent pic to the wife for the win and rub it in her face 😂lol!!! Went thru my pics of my best wins and all but 1 are on Double Diamond at $1, .50 & .25 denoms. The oddball was a 2x 5x 10x Bonus Times Pay (name may be a little off).
