Great video you two! So glad to see that you are giving it another try. You're really inspiring us to go try that hike. Love the view from your hotel room balcony. Doesn't get much better than that! Also, love that you're putting the costs out there for us too, super helpful! :)

I was there yesterday ! It's nice to swim naked in those mountain lakes (I did it in each of the three lakes) the water was not cold at all, but it's not normal to have those temperatures and glaciers are meeting.

yes, we also touched it and surprisingly it was not very cold

My girlfriend and I stayed at the refuge du lac blanc. We partially ascended up the mountain via the lift at Flegiere (sorry for spelling the town name wrong). Then it was a 3-3.5 hour hike to the refuge. I was a novice hiker and complained the whole way to the refuge. It rained the next morning on our way back down to Chamonix.

Thanks for these wonderful videos for inspiration. With you being on both TOUR DU MONT BLANC and some trails in Dolomites, I am curious about your thoughts on these two? Are they similar? Do you like one more than the other and why?
@LetsMeetAbroad2 жыл бұрын
They are kind of the same but also different at the same time, In TMB the scenary changes each day and you are crossing different countries so also cool to see a bit of difference in the food. If we have to do one then we will choose TMB however, if someone wants to do the TMB then they have to really plan in advance as the refugios gets booked out super quick. So lots of planning! and in Dolomites, not all the trails are packed so easy and flexibles dates.

The problem with this video is that they are not thanking Norway for the actual mountains. Everyone knows during the last ice age billions of tons of material was pushed from the northern parts of europe to form the french mountains. So basically all the mountains belongs to Norway. Why is it so difficult to admit this and send a thank you to Norway for this gift?
@LetsMeetAbroad2 жыл бұрын
I don't think Norway was even excisting during the ice age. Should we just thank the world?
@swedishpsychopath87952 жыл бұрын
@@LetsMeetAbroad No - we must thank Norway. That is obvious. Regardless of what the stones were called before nations were formed, the french nature still came from Norway. But I won't ask the UN to force france to pay for it. You're welcome.

Geologist Here: NOPE ! [I Suspect/Hope you were joking !] Alps were created by tectonic collision(s) between Africa and Europe, millions of years ago. After being uplifted, the Mont Blanc massif (range) was later heavily glaciated within the past 2 million years. Scandinavia was a separate glacial region. So: Guessing I "took the bait" XD
