To all of the people who are complaining about all of the Destiny videos: How can you be so upset that they are playing games that they enjoy, at least they aren't bored and hating every second that they are filming like in minecraft nowadays. If you can't enjoy watching a certain game, then don't click the link, add to the views, and poison these comments. There are viewers who enjoy these videos, and if they feel that the views to enjoyment ratio is high enough for them, they will continue to make any videos they want.

To people who complain about Achievement Hunter not being or not playing good games: It's not what AH is about. AH was originally (and still kinda is) about guides for achievements in games. Geoff himself stated that he and Burnie would compete for achievements, but he could never find good achievement guides online. So he started Achievement Hunter so as to help people find guides. But that was OG AH. 8 people ago. Now, it's about listening to 10 FREAKIN HILARIOUS guys (and girl) while they play games. What games do they play? Whatever they want. Geoff recently said that he doesn't care what people think, as long as they're having fun and making each other laugh. (And if that makes other people laugh, then it's a bonus) TL;DR They don't care what others think, as long as they have fun.

I do it for the fun, meeting new people, and helping them reach level 29 and 30; this way there will be more people ready to take on hard mode. Also what console would you play it on if you had the choice? (Not that I'm starting a console war, just curious because I'm on X1 and would like a chance to play with you)

This way you can form a group of people who are compatible for the next and harder raids yet to come. So if Bungie does add matchmaking for raids, it is of little concern for me.

Anyone who is debating getting destiny, this is what it is like: Great gameplay, finding guns an unlocking upgrades is awesome. The one raid out at the moment is awesome but there's no matchmaking so you need at least 4 other friends. Good visuals some a lot better than others. The missions are boring as shit and repetitive. The strikes ware ok but the bosses just end up being bullet sponges and not challenging. The ranking system from 20-30 is bull shit. Finally the worst part of the game is its broken multiplayer, unless you enjoy being killed by one shot shotguns and overpowered super powers e.g the warlocks self revive. Buy this game if you have friends who play it as its really fun to play with other people, if not then don't bother.

I hate comments like this. Take it I like the Destiny videos. But lets say you liked Hannah Montana and then she starts taking the path she took and you don't want her to, so you show your displeasue and hopefully others do as well so she decides to stay the same and make money instead of becoming what you don't want. I didn't really know any other examples, but the point is if a lot of people don't like a certain video they will stop producing it. Just like if the Matt, Jeremy, Kdin, and Lindsay videos got more dislikes they would either stop uploading the videos or have to do Geoff and Gavin commentary and what they're doing, which actually doesn't sound bad at all.

But I think it's pretty horrible if fans are all like "ughhh, I hate this game...how dare you play something you like." I don't know about you but when I'm basically pressured into doing something I don't want to do...then I'm not gonna do it at all. For instance, I love art.. I love to draw but when people try to get me to draw something that I don't want to draw....I stop drawing for a while. So many babies complaining about free content. Why is it so difficult to understand that you have a choice to watch this? They are not obligated to make the videos you want or play the games you want. If you don't like it, why bother watching? It's honestly baffling how self entitled some people are. The first parts are fun, they are like mini challenges that all have a different theme but the final boss is abit bull shit, its the fact you need to split up into teams and really have a strategy to beat it. Ive yet to beat the raid but ive gotten to the final boss 3 times now just because I enjoy those parts.

I think there's some good material for a game design discussion here, because the four sections of the raid they play through make for an interesting contrast. Llllllllllet's review: First is an old standby, defending a number of capture points simultaneously against waves of enemies. The map is well-designed, allowing for multiple teams to coordinate and work together even when separated by providing clear lines of fire between points and offering elevated sniping positions to make the most of the jetpacks. All well and good; it offers a decent warm-up challenge before the raid gets into the thick of things. The second portion begins with, essentially, a variation on the same thing with increased difficulty: now the raid must defend first one, then two, then three targets against another swarm, with the caveat that the enemies can't even reach the target for longer than a couple seconds. The map is a bit more closed-off, meaning the individual fire teams must work harder to defend their point. As a way of incrementally increasing the difficulty, it works just fine. Next come the Oracles, which present the raid with a new challenge: seek and destroy waves of static targets while fending off enemies. The targets themselves have known spawn locations and are visually distinct enough from the background to make them stand out. On a visual note, the massive lens flare they cause probably could have been turned down a bit, but it does help to instantly locate them. Here, though, we see what I think is the first small stumble: the raid destroys the Oracles or dies, almost immediately. There is a small buffer provided by the cleansing pool at the center, but it's still a near-binary instant wipe if a single Oracle slips past. Getting all the way to the end of that section only to get marked by a single Oracle and lose isn't fun, it's frustrating. The length of this phase could stand to be reduced a bit. The final phase is the actual battle with the Templar, and it's the highlight of what we've seen in these videos so far. The fight combines the mechanics of previous sections - the Oracles and waves of foes - with a fresh, exciting shake-up that tasks one member of the raid with being the only way to take down the boss' shields. This is excellent design: the raid must now protect the VIP, aggro down the boss before it enrages, and either hunt Oracles aggressively (and risk being stranded and killed by mobs or the boss) or huddle around the VIP so that they can be cleansed. Even once the boss' shields are down, there are decisions to be made: do you stop the teleport and allow for more DPS time, while summoning additional mobs? Or do you stay huddled and take what you can get? Teamwork and communication are rewarded here, and it's a great boss fight all around. From that, however, we go to the low point of the raid thus far: the Gorgons. While technically not unkillable, nothing but the most elite, communicative squads will likely be unable to DPS down alerted Gorgons within the short time allowed. Thus, we have a complete shift in dynamics: your first-person action shooter is now a stealth game, and one that the mechanics simply are not suited for. As can be seen in this video, the section is not fun. It is mercifully short if you know which way to go, but it is not fun. The labyrinth is a failure from a design aspect. Contrasting again, we have a brief platforming section that's... okay. Not bad, not great, okay. The mechanics are certainly in place, and appearing/disappearing platforms are a trusted technique as old as platformers themselves... but as you can see, the implementation is sub-optimal, particularly for a six-man raid where character models bump off of each other. Wider ledges and finer control over the jetpacks would have helped here. Three differing gameplay styles are on display here, and the quality of design varies to a degree that is at once surprising and yet not. With this much attention and so many artists working on this raid, one would think it would be a more tightly focused experience. But then again, Destiny is clearly a game designed by committee, and such design is unlikely to produce a unified vision. Instead, we see attempts to do everything at once and it all comes out the lesser for it. That's my take on it, anyway. I had fun doing this, if they continue I may as well.

This Raid is WAY more trivialized with the Ice Breaker Sniper. Regenerating Ammo makes doing Raids and Nightfall Strikes so much easier.

Invective shotgun (the other ammo regen weapon) fully upgraded makes pve look like a joke, regen ammo and the fastest rate of fire of all shotguns, it may only have 4 shots in the clip but it will rip apart the upgraded minotaurs. I even killed 3 players in pvp with a single clip in the space of 3 seconds. ( they were in a group xD)

I really like the Raid videos. To be honest, they are the more different parts of Destiny. It becomes more than just: Walk across the planet to a place and defend against waves of enemies. I mean this raid alone has Point Defense, a massive (pretty unique) Boss, Mazes, and Platforming puzzles. I wish more of Destiny was like this. Oh well. Maybe Bungie will make the game suck less later on. Too bad they couldn't have made it excellent from the beginning.

From 8 years in the future, I can definitely say that Destiny Year Two was the best, right when the Taken King came out. Destiny 2 was alright at launch, but then it got quickly over saturated with content; the opposite of what the issue was for Destiny Year One.

rawr5085 For me the main issue is the way they present the story almost entirely though your ghost, it's lazy. then there's the complete lack of characters to give a fuck about which even includes you. I'm not sure if I'm a pawn or a queen. The story has me doing some pretty epic stuff but it really isn't reflected in character interactions. Unfortunately I can't see it being improved upon; a building is only as strong as it's foundations.

It is not worth the money. It has very little content and each mission is literally the same thing. You go to a door, fight wave, go in, go find boss. That is every mission. Get shadow of mordor.

All my friends still have a PS3 and i buyed a PS4 at launch.. Destiny is worthless when you don't have anyone to play with.. Stuff like the raids and some strikes don't even have matchmaking so you're pretty much fucked . Hope this helps. :) Destiny is a fun game to play... with friends.

I'm telling you from personal experience, if you have no one to play with JOIN A CLAN, MAKE FRIENDS, I started playing with 3 or 4 friends who's clan I joined and I became friends with their friends and friends with their friends now I have a long list of friends to play with, so if you don't have a mic invest in a 10 dollar mic if you want to run cheap if your not good at talking to strangers online than you're fucked lol but seriously clans are looking for people every day so join one and make some friends its real simple

I enjoyed this lets play, in fact, I enjoy 99% of the lets plays I watch on this channel. The interaction of the AH crew is why I watch their let's plays. I personally don't think there is anything wrong saying whether you like or dislike the lets play unless you haven't watched it.
