Let's Play Minecraft: Ep. 244 - The Glass Tower

Hey guys, we were the ones that made this for the community channel. We hope you enjoy watching AH played it. To answer some general questions - The chest serve no purpose except as a nod to everyone. - It took us about a week to build at 4 hours a day, so 'bout 28 hours. Though it sped up or slowed down in terms of build speed depending on who jumped online to help with the build. - Did not fill it and cut it out, just made each maze and then added some trickery to it. For example, the one Gavin was stuck on for so long was actually a maze that was split in half and there was only one way to get from one side to the other. Another one is a maze where there is a path to get really close to the end but it's actually a dead end, then you figure out you have to go all the way around to get to it. - The way it was built was made 5 giant empty blocks and started filling them up as we went. Then made a 3D maze at the top to separate it from its predecessor. - The time resetting was due to a redstone timer we set up that would reset the world's time when it reach dark. - We don't have Achievement City, but have a similar world spawn, they didn't visit it, but if you followed the stone pathway you see in the background, it takes you there. Whats the point of having them start at different points if there is only one way up. All it takes is one person falling through a level or getting stuck before you have a group of people on the same level. I mean take this, multiply it by four or five or however many people you want in it, make them all different mazes, then see who can get to the top of the tower first. Much more entertaining.

This reminds me of the movie Cube. What you guys should do is remake the movie Cube. Each cube will have death traps in it, or goodies like food and helpful equipment. You won't know where the exit is, and some cubes will require you guys to work together. Until the last cube, which requires a death battle because there can be only one victor. So you can sabotage your partners before the last cube, or you can form an alliance and have an all out battle royal at the end. The choice is yours. (And for those curious about how you'd manage getting up the cube side that is the top, maybe have shulkers that can affect you? I can't recall if you can make a levitation potion. Worse case scenario is just put a column with a ladder in the middle of each cube. It'll change the design from the movie, BUT it'll be function.
