I'm confident that that is not what Geoff meant, if you're referring to around the 8:30 mark. He was watching the other three players' screens (MC Geoff) and said "haven't seen many monsters recently", almost on cue, a creeper scared Gavin and Geoff said "there's one", and after it blew up, poking fun at the fact that it came right after he said there hadn't been any, Geoff said "haven't seen any monsters since that creeper", meaning the one that blew up in Gav's face.
