In 6th grade, I got to go to the zoo, yea I had just turned 12, and the entire grade went to the zoo, and EVEN WORSE we had to stick with our classes and FILL OUT A SHEET, I love a trip to the zoo, but it was soooo hot, and I had made the mistake of wearing all navy blue that day, but the worst part about that trip, for my birthday my mom had gotten me a pair of earrings, they were golden snitches, I lost one at the zoo that day, and I didn’t realize until we were about to get on the buses because the other fell out and I put it back in and was gonna check my other one, and I screamed when I realized it was gone, I got in trouble but I was so upset, almost in tears, I never found my earring, I still have the one that’s left, and the only field trip for 7th grade, quarantine happened, we weren’t even in school during the week it was supposed to happen, it was a baseball game so not really that interesting but still, it was the only field trip all year, sucks man

I had 2 horrible road trips. I was coming back home from visiting my dad is Cali. We had to stop in Anderson... at 3 AM for coffee and gas. The crackheads there kept tapping on the windows asking for a lighter. 2nd one was when once again we were coming back home from California. We ended up stopping at a rest stop to use the bathroom, get drinks, etc. We wanted to call my aunt to tell her that we were close to home. Our phones just so happened to lose signal. We walked up to the pay phone and called my aunt. After the phone call me and my mom walked back to our car. We saw 4 grown men who were about 170 lbs-200 lbs get into a car and stare at us. I got this sick feeling, like I was close to throwing up. I rushed my mom to the car and told her we needed to leave and thank god she listened because it turns out that area was famous for human trafficking.

The third story I can relate to a lot. When I was a kid I had a lot of friends that lived nearby my house. My next door neighbor was my best friend at the time and I often had dinner with her family. Well one time they invited me to go to a Chinese restaurant with them and I was super excited. We went and we had so much fun and the food was great. Well being kids we were done with our dinner faster than her parents so we went to the front of the store together where they had a gumball machine. I remember so vividly watching her cry and hold onto the machine about not having any quarters and her parents wouldn't give her any. Then this guy came up and gave her a quarter and I remember thinking it was weird, but even more weird that she would bring it to her parents and show them instead of just using it. They told her to give it back to him and after she did and went back to crying, I remember turning to him to see what his reaction was and he was holding an older type of camera, that was still used at the time a lot, towards us. I knew he was taking photos of us and even then I was so weirded out and knew that wasn't okay. I didn't exactly know the extent to how creepy that was, but I knew it was wrong.

So many of these stories show how teaching kids about stranger danger has not been discussed properly. It should always be stressed that, no matter what kids do, even if they might get in trouble, that no adult can threaten them. If they do, that means they want to hurt them. Knowing they won’t be punished for an mistake and the person that scared them is a danger is more important to stress.

i couldn’t even feel bad for the “popular” girl in 7. she’s got one hell of an ego and if that situation freaked her out, clearly she doesn’t know the actual horrors of the world.

Steven is my dad's name.. He is 63 years old and just last year found out that the parents that raised him his entire life actually kidnapped him when he was 5 months old.. They snatched him out of his stroller right in front of his birth parents at the grocery store and ran. He only recently found out because he did one of those ancestry DNA gene test things... Crazy world we live in
