For me, Midsommar is the most beautiful of all festivals. People wear wreaths of flowers in their hair and families dance, sing and hop around the maypole like frogs. The Swedes can really celebrate. Thank you Daniel, I'm curious about this video.

@@CGplay186 I learnt about that dance two days ago in the news. I've read some stories about the origin of the May pole in a travel magazine. I realize that neither the frog dance nor the May pole are so naïf as they appear to be.

I am highly interested in Sweden and eager to experience the iconic celebrations of the Summer solstice but how can I do as a stranger, with no family or personal connections in the country, as I understand that Midsommar is largely a family event, celebrated with close relatives and friends? There are public celebrations in every city and town more or less, so i don't think it would be hard to find one.
