did you know you can actually watch the whole thing??? i saw the proshot last month at the TOFT (theatre on film and tape) archive at the new york library for the performing arts! it’s free and open for anyone to see (as long as you’re a researcher. i got in bc i’m writing a report about war and peace+TGC)!

The way this musical is staged is genius. It started out in small venues just performed among dinner tables, and Rachel Chavkin kept that aesthetic when they brought it to Broadway. That's awesome.

Having seen the show twice this deserves a proshot like Hamilton. The first time I was onstage in banquettes for my 21st and second time, back mezz at one of the Broadway cast "archive" filmings; and seeing this makes me really want a proshot released. This show was so unique and idk if any revival will capture what this original production was able to do. Just release a proshot and I will pay. This closed way too soon.

ARCHIVAL FOOTAGE I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THE DAY The photography makes the main part of the stage seem a bit smaller but gives a much better sense of just how massive the space being use really is AND how much of a risk this show was. You can't have balconies when you're acting IN the Q seats

As a person NOT LIVING IN THE US I still don't get what the issue is with releasing proshots on some dedicated platform. Im not even against paying per VIDEO (let alone a subscription). Really, do you expect me to fly 10K kilometers via like 3 separate flights and a train to and fro for 3 hours of a show? That's not reasonable.
