With many in the UEE senate arguing that expenses towards the UEE military are excessive and with Vanduul activity in the system greatly decreased. Dalynn Cross and Eddie Daniels are sent to Aremis, Vega II, to visit one of the planets military installations and document the base operations.
Directors Notes:
Letters From Vega is one of the most ambitious cinematic projects ever undertaken within the Star Citizen community with a complete production pipeline which includes full body and facial capture, the entire library of public Star Citizen game assets and one of the most highly talented casts ever assembled. I bit off far more than I could chew with this project and it was damn well worth if only for the huge amount of fun it was to make! I hope you can now enjoy it too.

Thoughts, in order: -Huh, what's this? -Hey, Bored Gamers on the news! - Huh, lotta people dressed up as ODSTs, is there a convention somewhere? Where do I get one? - Really sweet drive through the base. Looooooove me some spaceships (woot! Gemini and Vanguards!) -Ooooooh, now I see why most everyone was wearing helmets, facial animation is a bit janky. -Are those guards at the doors asleep? First one let a news team exit an office without an escort, second one lets them into a ******* command center -About time someone was doing their job and noticed the news team filming things. -Oh boy, LT, you are so fired after this. -Awesome ships again, woot! -Capital ship crashes into the ground. Makes me wonder how that's going to be implemented in game as even crashes of fighter size craft can be very destructive IRL. -Need moar. Plz make more. On a serious note, how many episodes do you think this will be?

AlexS189 Good to hear. I think you guys have the vehicular stuff down pat. You have the voice acting (mostly) down and in this case having non mainstream VAs actually helps a bit with the authenticity. The character animations... need some work. We get what you're going for, I think you all are already aware of it, but if you're planning on showing infantry fights that's going to show up again even more. Don't take it the wrong way, it's mostly the facial animations, but in the prelude segment, the more action oriented animations seemed off.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, I don't take it badly at all so no need to worry about that. Right now we're working through what is required for part 2 which includes expanding the team and getting some new equipment if needed. One big thing that will massively improve the quality of work will be down to dividing it up across several people :)

Hell...this is awesome. Star Citizen is becoming much more than just the game i originally backed for. I can't even imagine how awesome it will get when we get the Face over IP and fully fleshed out cameramode. This one felt like one of those moments when CIG totally blew my expactations. Very well done guys and thanks for sweeten the long (and sometimes tiring^^)journey for the best SciFi-game. Batteries fully recharged. o7

Great Job! The character animations were slightly off but there's not much you can do about that. This was one hell of a feat to accomplish and the vehicular action was amazing, especially in the final scene with the massive ship crashing. Was a little unsure about the first person view for the entire thing but hey thats just personal preference. One hell of a hats off to you sir!

Look forward to seeing additional episodes.. Well done.. However, a couple constructive criticisms... First, way too much motion blur.. Eyes had a really hard time focusing on anything and that is in 4K. Next, way too much fog as well. Not sure why some think all that fog is visually appealing? It is not. It takes away from the graphic beauty of the scenes and the backgrounds. As wisp here and there can access the scene but just fogging everything just does not look good. Anyhow, look forward to seeing where the story takes us...

Very impressive! Don't know how robust the CE cinematic tools are but have you though about importing the SC models and assets into something like Blender or 3ds Max, and doing your animations there? I look forward to part 2 with the potential use of the 3.0 assets!! Keep up the great work

Great job. Fantastic, to be more accurate. I regret that I can't press the Like button more than once. But I would like to point at one little inconsistency. UEE Navy does not have colonels. Base commander should be captain (naval equivalent to colonel). Captains are the ones in command of naval bases. That is... if there is no admirall present.

Truely good to see them fly, some badass concepts you're showing. Not a perfect shot but really captivating. And one thing with the camera, nobody let is hardware fall off the ground.
