Such a great band! The mid 90’s had some of the catchiest coolest music with bands that had members who could sing, harmonize without the need for electronic intervention like auto tune bc it didn’t exist.. -those were the days..

Omg i forgot about this song and hearing it again i swear to god brought so many twisted butterflies in my stomach because of the great memories i had in the 90’s as an early 20’s adult and in a time that was about discovery and connections before cell phones and dating sites! And zombified people! Such an amazing time to be in! God i want to go back!

In Boston WFNX was the alternative station 24/7. I was in my early twenties and saw them in Boston at the Hatchshell where they do the 4th of July celebrations yearly. Love the female singers wearing mini skirts and Doc Martens Gen Z might smirk but that time periods clothing is coming back and todays artists sampling songs from then is proof of what an era it was. I had a mobile phone then but only cuz I’m a medical worker and would be on call. But no text no camera and no one else really had them. 😂Love the 80s too but secretly loved when the Seattle grunge scene came in and obliterated hair bands!

Yes, except for the good rap and hip hop and Pop Electronica-because the kids today do have good music. How do I know? Because I've been a DJ, off and on, for over 30 years and a V.J for more than 9 years. But I agree, the 1950s thru the 90s were the Golden Age of Rock and Pop, and all that Jazz.

@@doyleperkins4916 Well...that's just a matter of opinion though. Professional DJ or not it's still your opinion because we all have the ability to have subjective ears. Me? I can't stand 95% of modern Pop radio.I haven't listened regularly to the radio since the mid-90's because it's all starting to sound the same, no variation. I mean seriously...when I was a young teen the radio waves were extremely diverse. You'd go from something Metal like Twisted Sister to Madonna to The Bangles, each song sounding very very different from the other.Listening to the music now I can't tell the difference between one artist and the other.

Kay Hanley had a lot of projects... Letters to Cleo, solo, band cameo's in movies, she's the singing voice in the Josie and the pussycats movie, she did backing vocals on Miley Curys tours, she did a song for the video game Sonic Heroes, she did the theme song for My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and wrote all original songs for Disney Junior's Doc McStuffins. She did just fine. (:

It wasn't. They had a couple of songs that got featured on soundtracks (The Craft, 10 Things I Hate About You...) and Kay Hanley sang all songs for the Josie And The Pussycats movie, but 'Awake' wasn't one of them.

How *do* they sound according to you? Because all their albums sounded different from one another, but they all have that LTC-sound to it. Aurora Gory Alice was very grungy, Wholesale Meats and Fish is more rock and power pop oriented, Go! was their poppiest album (if you like their appearance in '10 Thinks I Hate About You, 'Go' is your go to album) and Sister sounds very lush.

all ears99, you talk as if Here and Now is the only song you've listened to by LTC. Go, Demon Rock, Dangerous Type (great cover btw), Fast Way, Sister are all great tunes by them. Just because it was popularized doesn't always make it the best song. Again, that's why I think you've only listened to Here and Now. Don't get me wrong, Here and Now is a great song, but they do have other great ones. Check em out :)
