One moment I love throughout this whole ending, is how Charlie looks at Sophie as Claire reads her letter. For all Charlie knows, Sophie is still engaged and is there as a guest. He's likely started a process to moving on. But when Sophie's words are read aloud, he looks like he's fallen in love with her "again".

Well, to be fair, this scene always made me illogically anxious for that very reason. I mean, I know it is a romantic comedy, so he is not going to be paralyzed, but they don't even address it! When I was younger, I rewatched this scene a dozen times to see if he moved his legs while kissing her at the end in a bizarre attempt to make sure this movie character (!) would be okay, lol. What kind of line is that anyway - can you move, only my lips?!

I think it’s kind of funny that Claire and Lorenzo was watching even though Sophie said nobody was watching or saw Charlie fall, and then Sophie and Charlie start kissing and Claire, Lorenzo and pretty much all the wedding guests come over and watch them kissing like it’s a tv show. This scene is great I think it’s my favorite scene out of the whole entire movie because it’s where Sophie and Charlie say they love each other. I wonder if the writers got Charlie’s line truly, deeply madly from the Savage Garden song Truly, Madly, Deeply. Awesome movie!
