In which they encounter the third blood revenant Vilgrace to have already captured Conglo and make quick work of a zombie giant. The efforts afford Conglo a chance at escape in which soon after Mutheress arrives on her skull dragon. The party moves outside to have a brief conversation with her as she attempts to enlighten Skarn to greater purpose. A gruesome fight ensues in which after a struggle Mutheress get's the upper hand and knocks out the party. All In all banger session can't wait to see where the campaign goes next and shout out every blood revenant having great OST's can't wait to hear Vilgrace's.

Excluding the Tomb of Annihilation campaign the only other time a nat19 party suffered a full party wipe was at the very start of Vestige, which was effectively scripted. Honestly kinda disappointed this is being soft-pedalled, it would have been a good milestone to see an actual TPK.

That's really not the way to look at it. She wanted them alive to begin with. Mirkwire also wasn't scripted (effectively or otherwise), nor do I plan the outcome of situations. that it was scripted would imply there were no alternatives to escape, survive or avoid that situation. Either way, continuing with the story in a fun way and steering into the consequences of loss is way more interesting than a sudden stop. There's nothing fun or interesting about a TPK and cold-cut. ~Logan
