Root of Evil Level 250 Boss: This team won against the level 250 Boss with a buff of 5 and WITH NO LEVELS in the Asgard Tree of Wisdom. I hope you find this helpful!
UPDATE:
Some buff levels might be "too high". What I mean is that with some buff levels Rufus might not be revived because the final hit will be a physical attack most of the time as compared to other buff levels where the final hit will be Celeste's magic attack which will revive Rufus.
I just uploaded the proof that the Tree of Wisdom does NOT MATTER. I hope to have a discussion in the comments there about solutions to these issues:

Rufus simply doesnt stay alive for more than 5 seconds doesnt matter how many tries

What is your buff level? I think there are buff levels that somehow do not work well with this team. I know this sounds strange. I feel like it has to do with the energy generation and skill succession that is so poorly timed that your tank dies in almost every fight.

@CorneliusSecrets It was 20, then I got it to 30 just in case, but nah. Had more than 40 of those pieces of wood and nothing. Rufus or Chabba died every single time within the first seconds. Seems like the more you buff, the harder it gets hahaha Anyway...

I understand that this is really discouraging :-(. Maybe its best to try the Cornelius team? I made no video about it but other KZbinrs did. It might be cheaper to run that one 10-20 times as compared to buying more buffs and trying this in manual mode. Also, check these comments (its for boss level 270 but also helpful for 250 and 260!): @biiiiiiiiiix @CorneliusSecrets in case you need more information, with the same tree, boss 270 : - 20+ tries yesterday with 90 buff and no luck, crushed almost immediately. - 115 buff today, done in first try, easy. @nomerciganitam3534 İf rufus survive more than 20 secondes you musnt up the buff. more buff doesnt mean rufus will survive more. Rufus must die at the begining to magic damage. If not you ll lost him at the begining. so try to change axel and oliver on rufus markus. and 2nd sugestion: try Aurora-Cain Markus-axel Celeste-Merlin or khorus Sebastian-fenris Heidi-albus AXEL team pet.

I tried several times with your suggested team, but always lost because I'm really too slow manually. Then I found this team: Cornelius with Biskuit, Heidi with Albus, Sebastian with Fenris, Markus with Axell and Chabba with Oliver. It took me a few tries but it worked in auto mode. Which helps me a lot. Thank you for your work here and for encouraging us to look for a solution elsewhere.

Used with pet Oliver and worked 250 with 5 buff, 260 with 10 buff, and 270 with 15 buff. Thank You @claudiarathmachers9564!

My average tree of Wisdom is 18.5/50 and with buff 10 for level 250 but i lost about 20 times. Then I raised buff to 15 and won at the first try with your team. Cornelius kill opponent Celeste by 1 shot of his Ultimate. I will use this team for level 260 and 270 :)

I confirm this with buff 5, at 250. 2 tries in auto mode. Will try with 260-70 and update. My pet was Axel btw, not Oliver as @Williamdixon2323 suggests. Tried it once with Oliver pet and it seems my team went down a bit faster than with Axel.

Doesn't work for me, my Rufus dies before the Markus energy is complete

Hi. At which buff level did you start trying 250? I think some buff levels make Rufus die from a physical damage attack instead of barely surviving it and getting hit by Celeste's magic attack that revives Rufus. Therefore, for some players it might work with buff 0-15 but not work with buff 20 to X ? As it might also depend on the tree its not easy to find out specific numbers :/.

Finally team that worked for me on auto - BUFF 5!! Main pet Axle Cornelius/Biscuit - Heidi/Albus - Sebastion/Fenris - Marcu/Axle - Rufus/Oliver Rufus lived for almost a minute!! I think that was enough to get the energy levels firing in a way that worked. I hope this helps someone. 🍺

Got an Asgard tree of 9. Got a 30 buff. Rufus is practically one shot 6-7 tries in a row. Don't know what I'm doing wrong here....

Sorry to hear that :( It could be that your buff is "too high". I guess buying more buffs, which I know does not sound great. Or try another team? Have you checked other KZbin HW channels for team suggestons?

Ok, just beat 250 with Albus as Heidi's pet - after losing once while using Cain: I THINK that the reason Albus is better than Cain is because Cain, despite making Heidi ult more, doesn't help Heidi do enough damage to counter the enemy Celeste's healing completely, which means enemies die slower, leading to a longer battle. And a longer battle = higher chances that your tank dies = higher chances of losing. That's just my observation, don't know how true or objective it may be.

I totally agree with your observation and thought process! That's the reason why I use Albus for Heidi. I've even had fights where Heidi was still alive using Cain and those fights went into time out.

@ lvl 240 even with a buff of 50 Rufus gets nuked by Mojo. So I ended up using Chabba instead and I got my buffs up to 65 and was able to do it with auto :)

So you have all heroes for this team? I thought you are missing tanks? Anyway, maybe your buff level is higher than 5 which can make your Rufus die at the beginning.

If you do not have all tanks this is hard indeed :-(. If you don't have Rufus I would try Chabba. Without Chabba I guess Aurora is the only option left or you could try it with only Markus but he would need extra support from adding another healer I guess. I would try Thea because her skill gives her target 50% damage reduction for some time.

I really hate this adventure. Seems so RND based. And it seems as you hint in your comment bellow that buffs actually don't help but are counterproductive. I tried about 50 times, now with buff level 45 and not Chabba nor Rufus survive until Markus gets his energy. Chabba once survived when my buffs were 5, but they still lost. It's irritating. I actually don't think that the tree of wisdom matters. But skins might, because the heroes change their appearance base on which skin is selected in the non-maxed hero roster. Also for manual players - keyboard actually works (activate the ultimate) even in paused game. 1-5 for heros, Q for pet.

I've read many comments from players that are unhappy. I am sad to hear this :-(. It's true that theoretically the skins players buy or don't buy could affect combat. I have no proof here. Thanks for the idea!

This is really f. up. I increased the buff to 60, and I last shorter. The rules are messed up. And no matter buffs, Chabba dies in 12th second
